Student answer (Band 6.0)

Many Individuals believe that only academics education is neccessary for child's education however , others give the priority to physical education. According to my opinion, both are equally important for child's education.

The very first point in the favour of physical education is that If any individual is taking part in games and physical activities, it will increase the efficency of reading and grasping things easily. So, consequently it will make the children good at studies. The survey conducted by The Hindu says that students who involved in physical activities score good marks in study . In school ,children are facing alot of stress because of their daily schedule. So, if they are taking part in physical activities it will refresh their mind as a result it will make to feel them happier. So, ultimately improve their concentration and focus on the study.

In contrast to this, Academic education plays a vital role in the life of the children. If child is doing good in academic, it will help him to grow in life. Academic study helps the children to learn about the society, culture religion. It give the knowledge about the everything.

According to me, both are equally important for life. If one is giving you knowledge about the society the other one makes your personality. If one provides you information about culture and then other one teaches you how to implement this.

For instance the study conducted by british university reveals that the children who is good at games will be very good at academics.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that physical education increases efficiency and academic study provides knowledge of society, these points are not fully extended with detailed reasoning or specific, well-integrated examples. The reference to 'The Hindu' and a 'british university' is vague and lacks sufficient detail to be considered a strong supporting example. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph provides a deeper explanation of the 'why' and 'how' behind your arguments, rather than just stating them.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive. For example, you frequently start sentences with 'So' or 'If', which creates a simplistic flow. Some transitions, such as 'In contrast to this', are used correctly, but the overall logical progression between sentences could be smoother. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the connection between the two types of education is somewhat abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words would enhance the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'things', and 'everything'. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'academics education' instead of 'academic education' and 'give the knowledge about the everything'. While the meaning is clear, the lack of sophisticated or less common vocabulary limits the score. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic terminology and avoid repetitive, generic phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('the children who is good', 'It give the knowledge'), article usage ('the academics education'), and punctuation errors, such as the misplaced comma in the first sentence. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To reach a higher band, focus on proofreading for basic agreement and article errors, and aim for more error-free complex sentences.
