Student answer (Band 5.5)
Education is most important part of everyone's life does not matter it is physical education or academic. are a few people believe that physical education is important for children's while other says that academic education play pivotal role ,i will discuss both of the views and give my opinion in upcoming paragraphs
The first main reason is why children should learn physical education is knowing about the physical activities and exercises which are not only helpful for their knowledge but it will also be helpful for their body, they can come to know about the physical exercises and do them in their daily basis to make their lifestyle healthier, by knowing the physical education they can help others to give first aid which is the best education to save someone in injury before come to the ambulance.
On the other side, some masses said academic knowledge is very important, in school there are a lots of other subjects are important for kids such as mathematics, science, and English which are useful to fulfill their goals in future sometime kids want to become doctor or scientist so these subjects are very useful for their future. the main thing is by doing focus on academic studies kids can make their perfection in each and every field
to conclude both education in schools play important role in children's life but according to me physical education is very important, by getting physical knowledge kids come to know what is wrong and what is right to improve thier health because health is wealth

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument for physical education focuses heavily on first aid, which is a specific skill rather than a broader discussion of physical education's role in child development. Similarly, the academic argument is somewhat repetitive, focusing on future career goals without exploring the broader cognitive benefits of academic study. While the task is addressed, the ideas lack the depth and extension required for a higher band score. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments could be more robust and varied.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the opening sentence is a run-on, and transitions like 'The first main reason is why' are grammatically awkward. There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas within and between paragraphs. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the connection between 'physical knowledge' and 'what is wrong and what is right' is not logically explained. The overall progression of ideas is present but lacks fluidity.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision expected at higher levels. There is frequent reliance on basic phrasing, such as 'most important part', 'very important', and 'very useful'. Some word choices are imprecise, such as 'some masses' instead of 'some people' or 'make their perfection' instead of 'achieve excellence'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of varied, topic-specific vocabulary prevents a higher score. Spelling is mostly accurate, but the limited lexical range restricts the ability to convey complex ideas with nuance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There are significant issues with sentence structure, including run-on sentences and fragments, such as the opening paragraph which lacks proper punctuation. Subject-verb agreement is inconsistent, for example, 'other says' instead of 'others say'. There is a limited range of complex structures, and attempts at them often result in errors, such as 'by doing focus on academic studies'. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing capital letters at the start of sentences and misuse of commas. These errors are frequent and affect the overall flow of the writing.
