Student answer (Band 5.5)
A few people says that curricular activities are crucial for child's education . whereas some believe that students should pay more attention to academics in school time in this essay i will discuss both parts and give my opinion on that.
first i would say physical exercise is vital for our body . students in school needs to pay attention to theses classes because in future this will give them strength and chance to take part of any sports . for instance in this contemporary world sports are as important as study . apparently these exercises make them mindful and more attractive and smart .
eventually they become good sport person and play in olmpycs
However some says academics are more important then studies they are also not wrong at some extand . most of the people think with physical exercise and with these activites students are not focused on their learning . neverthlless both are necessary for child growth . consequently with excercise and tutoring they become a smart child . they should learn multitasking. in coming years they don not have to worry about physical exercise due to in young age they learnt how to manage exercise with the study .
all things consider i would say both plays vital part in child life. with study they will learn all the subjects and with physical exercise their body and brain would work smart . i think in all the institution they should introduce physical education classes so each child will learn .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the argument that physical education makes students 'attractive' is not a strong academic point. The essay lacks depth in its reasoning, often relying on simple assertions rather than detailed explanation or evidence. While the prompt is addressed, the ideas are under-developed, and the conclusion is somewhat repetitive. To improve, you should focus on providing more substantial arguments, such as the impact of exercise on mental health or academic concentration, rather than focusing on physical appearance or Olympic aspirations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often disjointed. While transition words like 'However' and 'consequently' are used, they are sometimes applied incorrectly or in a way that feels mechanical. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the progression of ideas within paragraphs is weak. For instance, the transition from discussing physical education to the importance of academics is abrupt. Improving the use of cohesive devices and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the readability and logical progression of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'smart', and 'important'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'work smart' instead of 'function effectively' or 'improve cognitive performance'. Spelling errors, such as 'olmpycs', 'extand', and 'neverthlless', are frequent and occasionally distract the reader. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items, and ensure that your spelling and word choice are more precise and accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect the clarity of the message. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'A few people says', 'students in school needs') and article usage. Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors in punctuation or syntax. For example, 'in coming years they don not have to worry about physical exercise due to in young age they learnt how to manage exercise with the study' is structurally awkward and grammatically incorrect. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be a good starting point.
