Student answer (Band 6.0)
The scenario of education has changed in recent years. Some people believe that physical education subjects should be an essential part in child's life, while others think that it would be better if they only focus on scholarly classes. I feel that both perspectives have their own benefits, but physical training should be prevalent widely.
On the one hand, with regards to physical classes, some individuals often say that it can be worth if children spend some time on extra-curricular activities. The reason is that their minds would be more sharp and proactive during other activities. For instance, some schools in eastern parts encourage their students to take participate in physical activities, undoubtedly half of the pupils already have showed their credibility in many sports events. Thus, it is the core responsibility of schools to organize such classes which in turn boosts their mind.
However, others still recommend to choose theory subjects because of bright future which is only possible if they concentrate properly. To elaborate on this, most organizations only hire those candidates who are certified with high degrees and diplomas. For example, a child who is proficient in writing letters, essays and thesis reports would have a bright future ahead as a journalist or content strategist. Academic education has an effective role to play in children's life.
In my opinion, I would definitely choose physical education as it makes children more physically fit and mentally alert. Therefore, this practice must be compulsory at schools.
To sum up, although both perspectives hold great results in the betterment of children, general health should be common among the learners.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, the argument for academic focus is supported by the need for degrees, but the explanation of how physical education specifically benefits a child's long-term development is a bit thin. The response covers all parts of the prompt, but the supporting examples, such as the mention of 'eastern parts', are vague and lack sufficient detail to fully persuade the reader. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your reasoning with more specific, concrete examples and ensure your position is consistently reinforced throughout the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'However', and 'To sum up' to guide the reader. While the progression of ideas is generally clear, some transitions feel a bit mechanical. For instance, the link between the example of students in 'eastern parts' and the conclusion that schools must organize such classes could be smoother. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally slightly ambiguous, but the overall structure remains coherent and easy to follow throughout the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proactive', 'credibility', and 'proficient'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation that prevent a higher score. For example, 'prevalent widely' is awkward; 'widely prevalent' or 'widespread' would be more natural. Similarly, 'take participate' is a grammatical error that also affects lexical precision. You attempt to use some less common vocabulary, but the control is not yet consistent. Focusing on natural collocations and refining your word choices will help improve your score in this area.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. For example, 'some individuals often say that it can be worth if children spend' is grammatically incorrect, and 'half of the pupils already have showed' contains a tense error. There are also minor issues with article usage and prepositional phrases. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and the correct use of complex sentence connectors.
