In this contemporary era, education plays a significant role in human's lives. There is an ongoing debate about whether school should educate sports classes to the students during the school period. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the benefits of physical education (health, obesity prevention) and the focus on academics (career goals), the arguments lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. For instance, the point about a student wanting to become a doctor is relevant but could be expanded to explain how time management or stress levels are affected by a heavy academic workload. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the points made in the body paragraphs. To reach a higher band, ensure each main point is fully explored with more detailed reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal shifts in the argument. However, the internal cohesion within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. For example, the phrase 'give focus on' is used repeatedly, which makes the flow feel a bit stiff. Additionally, some sentences are linked loosely, and the progression of ideas could be smoother if you used a wider variety of linking words and better referencing to connect your supporting points to the main topic sentences.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it is somewhat limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'important', 'education', and 'focus'. There are also some noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'educate sports classes' (instead of 'include sports classes') and 'take joining in' (instead of 'participating in'). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of variety and the occasional awkward phrasing prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and collocations related to the topic of education and health.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that, while they do not impede communication, are noticeable. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('physical education provide'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing ('human's lives', 'compitions about get the higher marks'). The use of punctuation is generally acceptable, but the sentence construction often feels slightly unnatural. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and refining your use of prepositions and articles. Increasing the variety of complex structures while ensuring they are error-free will also help boost your score.
