Student answer (Band 5.0)

There are different opinions about education strategies. Some people believe that students should learn other activities. While others think that studying has a superior choice rather than any other activities.

One the one hand, Some people consider that education can only creates a better life conditions. They argue that, other activities that divert adults from studies should discourage. For illustrate, If the child get more time to spent on sports or other things, his mind always recreate the moment he had. Moreover, he will plans to next day about that. Therefore, it will decrease the focus ability of students from studies.

One the other hand, others argue that physical activities is also need for future references. They believe that, if the pupil only focus on studies it will create more problem like, he or she will addicted also it will reduce their mental ability to react physical. I agree with this point. Main reason I go with the topic is spending time on a extra activities help them improve their mental and physical ability and higher decision taking power. For instance, standard time for concentration is 20 to 30 minutes, furthermore the lecture time will more it will decrease children ability to concentrate. As a result, giving a extra time to physical activities.

In conclusion, give a proper schedule for sports activities will help them to be more efficient than other students. I believe that prioritise the extra curriculum activities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the essay is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of the discussion. While the ideas are relevant, they are often under-developed. For example, the argument regarding 'mental ability' is mentioned but not fully explained or supported with clear, logical reasoning. The conclusion is also quite abrupt. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed examples and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a more comprehensive exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'One the one hand' and 'For illustrate' are used incorrectly. The progression of ideas is sometimes difficult to follow because the sentences do not always flow logically from one to the next. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it hard for the reader to track the argument. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'superior choice rather than any other activities' and 'future references' instead of 'future benefits'. Additionally, there are errors in word formation, such as 'addicted' used as a verb instead of 'become addicted'. You rely on basic vocabulary, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas precisely. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning collocations and using more academic vocabulary appropriate for an IELTS essay, while ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'education can only creates', 'physical activities is also need'), incorrect verb tenses, and sentence structure (e.g., 'If the child get more time to spent'). The range of structures is limited, and the attempt at complex sentences often results in errors. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that tenses are used consistently throughout your writing.
