Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is an ongoing debate on whether it is more important to pay attention on academics during school time or physical education classes also have equal importance in child's education. In my opinion, physical education plays a crucial role in an educators life as their academics. Both these notions will be discussed in upcoming paragraphs leading to a logical conclusion.
To commence with, classes involving physical activity are necessary for the physical good health of pupils. To explain this, in today's era, education is becoming stricter day by day which leads to very less time available for health activities for learners. For instance, having a games period in the time table & help pupils to spare some time for themselves in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, games built a team spirit among learners which they may lack behind. Students learn to perform in a team which results in great outcome. As a result, they become a great human being.
Furthermore, academics also have equal importance. Sometimes, these physical activities leads to distraction in students. To elaborate, learners get more indulged
in sports activities and pay less attention
to their studies. This results in lower
grades in their academics. For Example,
a student who is a national level
player in any sports may gain a
good name among spectators but
is not good at studies because he
paid more attention in sports.
This kind of achievement has very
less importance among people.
Moreover, studies nowadays are
so tough that learners do not
get evo can not skip even a single
lesson as they will lack behind.
Only one task can be done at a
particular point of time.
In conclusion, Although it is vivid that
academics are important
for a student as they have to be good at
studies and perform well in this sector
yet, I believe that physical activities
should be given equal importance as
academics in order to have a good
health for our future generation and
developing interpersonal skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the importance of physical education and the priority often given to academics, while also clearly stating the writer's personal position that both are equally important. Ideas are generally relevant, though some arguments are a bit repetitive or lack full extension. For instance, the point about games building team spirit is introduced but not fully elaborated with a concrete example. The position is maintained throughout the essay and leads to a logical conclusion. Overall, the task response is well-handled and meets the criteria for a Band 6.5 or solid Band 6, fulfilling all prompt requirements adequately.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, such as the benefits of physical education and the arguments supporting academic focus. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty. Phrases like 'To commence with' and 'To explain this' are used appropriately, but some linking devices and referencing cause minor awkwardness, such as 'Both these notions will be discussed in upcoming paragraphs'. Additionally, sentence boundaries in the third paragraph are slightly disrupted by abrupt formatting issues. Progression is generally logical, supporting a Band 6 level.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'interpersonal skills', 'lifestyle', and 'spectators'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation inaccuracies throughout the text. For example, the writer uses 'educators life' instead of 'students' lives', 'physical good health' instead of 'physical health', and 'lack behind' instead of 'fall behind'. There are also occasional typographical or phrasing confusions like 'do not get evo can not skip'. While these errors do not impede communication, they restrict the lexical score to a Band 6.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The writer uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures and relative clauses, such as 'A student who is a national level player in any sports may gain a good name...'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasing present, such as 'pay attention on academics' (instead of 'pay attention to'), 'games built' (tense agreement error for 'build'), 'this physical activities leads' (subject-verb agreement error), and 'at a particular point of time' (rather than 'at a particular time'). Punctuation and capitalization are occasionally erratic, particularly near the end of the third paragraph. These errors rarely impede overall communication, placing the grammar securely in the Band 6 category.
