Student answer (Band 5.0)

According to a few we hear believes that fitness classes play a crucial role in the life of children, but along with academic study there should be physical classes as well.

One reason is that a sound mind plays in a sound body. So if a kid is physically fit and active, then he can focus well on his studies. For example, the schools just providing academic education are behind in results as compared to those which manage both physical and syllabus studies. Even though, some child's have high interest in games and sports rather than other subjects. So it is also mandatory to keep every juvenile's preference in mind for every school to achieve awards in all streams of study.

Another reason is academic learning is also important to standardized ourselves in the long run of this world. Like, if we are educated then only we can find a bus to our institution from home. Otherwise, we will have to seek help from others even for this basic and small task. However, to complete our ambitions like to be doctor, teacher, business man or to study abroad, knowledge is required which comes from our study at school. Moreover, to beat today's competition in all aspects each individual needs to focus more about their theoretical knowledge.

To conclude, physical and intellectual studies, both are the two side of a coin. We need both to make a life smooth. Even after hours of regular study, brain needs some rest and if a person tries to spend some time doing their hobby task, will give him a good start up.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses both views required by the prompt, discussing the importance of physical education alongside the necessity of academic focus. A position is presented, concluding that both aspects are needed. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and lacks sufficient depth and supporting examples. For instance, the argument regarding academic learning mentions finding a bus or becoming a doctor, which are rather simplistic and anecdotal rather than well-developed arguments. Furthermore, the phrasing in the introduction 'According to a few we hear believes that...' is unclear and obscures the initial stance. Overall, the response meets the basic requirements of addressing all parts of the task, but the extension and support of ideas remain basic, corresponding to the Band 5 descriptor.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay displays a basic overall organisation with paragraphs attempting to separate different ideas, starting with physical education followed by academics and a conclusion. However, progression is frequently impeded by unclear referencing and awkward transitions. Phrases like 'One reason is that a sound mind plays in a sound body' and 'Another reason is academic learning is also important to standardized ourselves' show weak links between sentences. Cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or misused, such as 'Even though, some child's...' and 'Otherwise, we will have to seek help...'. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion lacks smooth logical flow. This places the response comfortably at Band 5.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'mandatory', 'ambitions', and 'intellectual', but these are often accompanied by word choice and collocation errors, such as 'standardized ourselves' instead of 'standardise ourselves' or 'improve ourselves', and 'syllabus studies' instead of 'curriculum' or 'academic studies'. There are also frequent issues with word forms, such as 'child's' instead of 'children'. While communication is generally maintained despite these flaws, the vocabulary remains basic and repetitive, aligning with a Band 5 score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('some child's have high interest'), incorrect preposition usage ('focus more about their theoretical knowledge'), and awkward relative clauses or missing elements ('the schools just providing academic education are behind'). Punctuation and article usage also show frequent lapses. While some simple sentences are error-free, attempts at more complex structures often result in faulty grammar that can occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 5 descriptors.
