Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the contemporary world, education is playing an important role in life. A handful people believe that phyical education is vital part of students education. while, others think that it is more imperative to give priorty to acadamics during school time. I will discuss the both statement in upcoming paragraphs.
To commence with, there are various reasons why phyical education is important. The predominent reason is, "stay fit and healthy".To elaborate, when they attend the physical education period student will get to play activities in playground which help them in physical development and also they will stay healthy. Moreover, to next dominent reason is,"learn moral and ethical values". To explain, many student take part in sport which only play in team from this they learn how to behave in team ,discipline and they will start to follow the rules.Due to it the become better person in their life when they adapt these qualities during physical classes.
On the other hand, there are planty reasons stuyding academic is important during school time. The the main reason is, "focus on difficult subjects".To demonstrate more, many pupils are facing difficulty in major subjucts for instance sicence and maths. When they give priority to these subject in school time they can clear their all doubts from tutors. As a consequence , they will not spend money on extra class which only save their money but also time which learners can utilise on other important activities and also they can clear any enterance exam.Adding more, number of students wants to persue their career in these subject because they can get handsome salary package.
In conclusion, from my view point, individuals should spend more time on academics on schoole time which bring more benefits for them it also helps to ssave which they utilise on phyical activities in playgrounds with frinds and family members

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The student addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on physical education versus academics and provides a clear opinion in the conclusion. Ideas are presented for both perspectives, such as fitness and moral values for PE, and focusing on difficult subjects for academics. However, the development of these ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. For instance, the explanation of academic focus quickly shifts to saving money rather than deeper educational benefits, and the conclusion is brief. This performance aligns well with Band 6, where the task is addressed, but ideas tend to be slightly under-developed or generalized.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a clear overall arrangement with distinct paragraphing, starting with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Transitional phrases like 'To commence with', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, cohesion is often faulty or mechanical due to punctuation issues, run-on sentences, and missing spaces (e.g., 'education. A handful people', 'education. while'). Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the progression within paragraphs can feel disjointed due to abrupt transitions between ideas. These features reflect the characteristics of a Band 5.5 to 6.0, where coherence is present overall, but mechanical cohesion and structural flaws pull the score down.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'contemporary world', 'imperative', 'predominant', and 'pursue'. However, there are frequent spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'phyical', 'priorty', 'acadamics', 'planty', 'subjucts', 'sicence', 'enterance', and 'schoole'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are noticeable and affect precision. The student also relies on repetitive phrasing when introducing supporting points. This vocabulary profile fits the Band 5.0 descriptors, where the range is minimally adequate and noticeable errors occur consistently.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures. However, grammatical control is weak, with frequent errors in punctuation, capitalization, subject-verb agreement, and article usage. Examples include missing commas, lack of capitalization at the beginning of sentences, 'student take part' instead of 'students take part', and 'the become better person'. There are also run-on sentences and punctuation spacing errors that disrupt readability. Although simple structures are generally understood, the high frequency of errors places this response firmly in Band 5.0, where frequent errors in grammar and punctuation cause difficulty for the reader.
