Student answer (Band 6.0)
Undeniably, education plays a pivotal role in students life. Considering it, few individuals believe that physical education are important while other believe that for child's education academics are only important. According to me, physical and academics both are equally important for education.
Indeed, the supporters for physical education believe that its play an important part of a child's education. Sports activity is very important part for child's physical growth. Because of the sports activity they can learn new things such as team leading, coordination and how to compete with other team in a decent way. Therefore, school have to arrange classes for physical education as well for child's physical growth and some important skills also.
However, other believe that during a study time school have to only focus on academics part only. Academic study is necessary in each part of the life. Because of that students get the knowledge about the basic subjects such as Math, Physics, Science and many more. Also, they can learn about what is currently going on and know about the others culture as well.
According to what I comprehend, I believe that academics and physical both are important for a child's education. Both the subjects have their own advantages and its effect differently on children.
To considerate, physical classes is important for children physical growth while academics is important for their life. So according to me during a school time they have to focus on both the subjects and give equally importance to both.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on physical education versus academics and provides the author's clear opinion. However, the ideas are somewhat repetitive and lack deeper extension, relying on general statements like learning 'team leading' and 'coordination'. Furthermore, the response suffers from a critical length penalty because it contains only 249 words, which fails to meet the minimum requirement of 250 words. While the position is clear throughout, the limited development of supporting arguments and the under-length penalty restrict the overall achievement level for this criterion to a band 5.5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The text is organized into five paragraphs, demonstrating an awareness of standard essay structure with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing both views, a personal perspective, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and simplistic transitional markers such as 'Indeed', 'However', and 'To considerate'. Cohesive devices are at times mechanical or inaccurate, as seen in the phrase 'To considerate' instead of 'To consider' or 'In conclusion'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to separate distinct ideas, but the overall cohesion suffers from awkward referencing and lack of smooth transitions, placing this response firmly in the band 6.0 category.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student displays an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using terms like 'pivotal role', 'physical growth', and 'coordination'. However, there are notable lexical errors and awkward collocations throughout the text, such as 'during a study time', 'academics part', and 'give equally importance'. Less common vocabulary is attempted with limited success and occasional word-choice inaccuracies, such as 'others culture' instead of 'other cultures'. Spelling is generally accurate, but the lexical control is not fully flexible, making band 6.0 the most appropriate descriptor for this performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and subordinate structures like 'Because of the sports activity they can learn...' and 'According to what I comprehend, I believe that...'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding subject-verb agreement ('physical education are important', 'school have to arrange') and articles ('the supporters for physical education', 'during a study time'). While these errors do not severely impede overall communication, they persist across multiple sentences, meaning the text does not achieve the frequency of error-free sentences required for a band 7.0.
