Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is considered by some individuals that schools need to pay attention towards physical education. Other think that academics play an important role in children life's. in my opinion, academics are more important than physical classes.
On the one hand, physical classes are crucial for the well being of children because it gives them chance to know about health. During physical lectures ,children will come to know about some health food ,some physical activities, nutrients. Therefore, it is vital for them. Moreover, nowadays children do not pay attention towards active life style. As a result, they feel lazy and dull. Therefore, physical classes give them chance to involve in activities and they may feel active. It would be correct that physical classes are imperative for children.
On the other hand, academics will help children to make their future bright. They can broadren the horizon of knowledge through study which help them to get excellent job in future. Not only knowledge also help them to learn about an imperative skills such as time management, decision making skills , businesss skills, financial management skills. Moreover, they may know about different language and get familiar with calculations. Therefore, schools should teach students academics during school time because it will help them to get job and become financial independent in future
To conclude, although physical classes bring positive effects for children health, the importance of academics tasks cannot be overlooked. Therefore, teachers need to pay attention to cover syllabus of students.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on physical education versus academics and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the length requirement is not met, as the response is nine words short of the two hundred and fifty-word minimum. Furthermore, while the ideas presented are generally relevant, some points are under-developed or repetitive. For instance, the discussion on physical classes mentions health and active lifestyles in a somewhat limited way without fully exploring broader societal arguments. The conclusion effectively summarises the position, but overall development remains constrained by both the length shortfall and some lack of extended elaboration on specific points.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at logical organisation, making use of standard organisational markers such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude'. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty, and referencing is not always clear, as seen in minor awkward transitions between sentences. The progression of ideas within paragraphs relies on simple cohesive devices like 'Therefore' and 'Moreover', which are slightly over-used. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to demonstrate more sophisticated and flexible referencing and seamless transitions between paragraphs without relying on repetitive connectors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, providing sufficient range to convey basic arguments about education and health. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'broadren the horizon', 'imperative skills', and 'financial independent', though these attempts are accompanied by noticeable inaccuracies in word form and spelling, such as 'businesss'. Other lexical choices, like 'health food' instead of healthy food or 'children life's', show minor slips. These errors do not seriously impede communication, allowing the reader to understand the intended meaning easily. To improve further, the writer should focus on word formation, correct spelling, and more precise collocations to enhance the sophistication of the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as conditional and relative clauses. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text, including issues with articles ('the well being', 'get excellent job'), pluralisation ('physical classes give them chance'), and subject-verb agreement ('Other think'). Additionally, punctuation errors like missing spaces after commas ('health, the') and incomplete sentence control appear. Although communication is rarely impeded entirely by these errors, their frequency places the response firmly within this band. Achieving a higher band would require greater control over complex sentence structures and a reduction in basic grammatical slips.
