Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the era of modernization, there is an ongoing debate regarding, what is more crucial in child's development ? The challenging questions is that, Is it physical education classes or school class room studies, which is more favourable in child's growth. There are divided opinions. Some people argued that fitness classes are more vital in their education. However, other are counter claim that fact and say solely academical knowledge is more important. Prior to my stance, I will discuss both viewpoints in the upcoming paragraphs with valid reasons and appropriate examples.

Discussing the former view, supporters believe that physical educations classes are more important becuase it can foster concentration by increasing hormonal level like oxytocin and endorphins. To illustrate that, In Nepal there was a survey in school going child in 2005, they closely moniter two groups, one who's interested in sports and one on wookworms. The result was so shocking, they found 10x more growth in physically active child than who only focus on studies. Furthermore, Physical education make person more robust and active. Moreover, It can reduce the risk of obesity in young age group.

However, proponents have their own opinion. To begin with, student only needs to focus on their academic performance and study grades, because it can leads student toward their bright future. For Instance, they believe all suceessful professionals like doctors and engineers are so litrate and well educated. On top of that they believe that academical knowledge can bring sanity and manners to particular person. To add to this,it can also helpful in learning time management. For example, School teaches child to follow thrir schedule and finish the task before deadline, Although that pressure make person more punctual.

Based on aforementioned reasoning, I support former view. Physical fitness is more important and helps more in intellactual growth in child's development.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear preference for physical education in the conclusion. The points about exercise supporting concentration and reducing obesity are relevant, while the academic case includes future career prospects and learning time management. However, these ideas are not developed equally: the physical-education paragraph relies on a questionable, unexplained survey, and the claim of “10x more growth” is unclear. The academic paragraph also makes broad claims about successful professionals and education bringing “sanity and manners” without explaining the connection. To strengthen the response, clarify what kind of growth you mean and support each main point with a more specific, credible explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each viewpoint, and a conclusion that gives your opinion. Transitions such as “However,” “Furthermore,” and “Based on aforementioned reasoning” help readers follow the discussion, and the two sides are presented in a logical order. This is a sound foundation, with some flexibility in linking ideas. At times, though, the linking feels mechanical or the relationship between points is unclear. For example, “To add to this” introduces time management, but the connection to academic study could be made more explicit; “Although that pressure” also does not clearly connect to the preceding sentence. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the logical link between each claim and its explanation explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “concentration,” “physically active,” “obesity,” “academic performance,” and “time management.” These choices help you discuss both education and fitness, and the main meaning is generally understandable. However, noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision, including “academical knowledge,” “wookworms,” “litrate,” and “intellactual growth.” Some expressions are also unnatural or unclear, such as “more robust” and “bring sanity and manners.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than using ambitious wording without checking its meaning. Proofreading spelling and choosing standard phrases such as “academic knowledge” and “intellectual development” would make your argument clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “However” and a reason clause beginning “because.” The overall message remains understandable, but errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation are frequent enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to follow. For example, “The challenging questions is that” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “because it can leads student” combines an incorrect verb form with a missing plural marker. The opening also uses unnecessary question marks and commas, and “Although that pressure make person more punctual” is not a complete, well-formed sentence. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct verb form, and complete clause structure.
