Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some individuals believe that physical education courses are cruial for children's education. Others argue that it is more important to pay attention on other subjects during school time. In my perspective, physical education should be a part of children's curiculum as this subject allows them to take a break from monotonous study routine and take part in sports.
To begin with, when young learners participates in different sports, it allows them to take a break and relax, which consequently improves their focus in studies. Moreover, when students play various sports during their physical education classes, they become professional players. They participate in various national and international competitions and gain recognition. For example, Virat Kohli, a well-known Indian cricket player, once stated in an interview that he used to play cricket during his physical education classes, which eventually became his hobby and he gained worldwide reognition when his team won FIFA world cup in 2019.
On the other hand, critics claim that it is more important to focus on academics during school time. According to them, various courses such as maths, science and laguage subjects are more important for children's education and students need to obtain good gardes in these subjects to secure professional jobs. However, in my opinion, although academics subjects are important for children to excel in their careers, it is good for thier physical well-being to play various sports. Therefore, physical education classes should be a part of a children's education.
To conclude, we cannot deny that children need to excel in their academic subjects to secure professional jobs. Nevertheless, physical education classes also play important role in improving thier focus and give them an opportunity to become professional players.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You discuss both views and state a consistent preference for including physical education, so the task is addressed. The point that sport can provide a break and improve students’ focus is relevant, while the opposing view is represented through the importance of academic subjects and grades for future employment. However, these ideas are not developed equally: the academic argument is brief, and the claim that PE can produce professional athletes needs more careful support. The Virat Kohli example is specific, but the reference to his team winning the FIFA World Cup appears inaccurate and weakens its effectiveness. Explain the benefits of academics and PE more fully, and use accurate examples to support your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph supporting physical education, a paragraph presenting the academic view and your position, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow. This meets the lower-band expectations for coherent organisation and shows some flexibility in connecting ideas. However, the paragraph about PE moves quickly from relaxation to becoming professional players, without a clear bridge between those claims. The final paragraph also repeats the main points rather than bringing them together. Develop each paragraph around one central idea and use clearer references between claims and examples to make the progression more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “physical education,” “monotonous study routine,” “recognition,” and “professional jobs.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “national and international competitions.” However, spelling errors are noticeable, including “cruial,” “curiculum,” “reognition,” “laguage,” and “gardes,” and some word combinations are unnatural: “pay attention on other subjects” and “secure professional jobs.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the argument, but they limit precision and control. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations as complete phrases, rather than translating them word by word.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession with “although” and a relative clause in “Virat Kohli, a well-known Indian cricket player, once stated…”. Most sentences communicate their meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “when young learners participates” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “it is good for thier physical well-being” needs a possessive form. Articles and sentence patterns also need attention in “play important role” and “a part of a children’s education.” Practise checking agreement, articles, and possessives in each sentence. Greater accuracy in these areas, alongside your existing attempts at complex structures, would make the writing more controlled.
