Student answer (Band 5.0)

Today, in a child's development both academic education and extra curriculum play significant role. Both aspects are important for overall growth and are irreplacable. Nevertheless, some people argue that it is more important to focus on academics during schooling rather than on extra activities or sports activities subject like physical education.

As discussed above, both aspects are equally important. However, I agree with the statement that when its come to priorities, academics should always be top priority. Subjects like physical education should be part of course structure but should be valued more. Childern's who wants to be sportsman in future should entirely focus towards their game. Thats a compeletely different scenario.

In my opinion, I strongly agree to the point that physical education classes are an important part of a child's education. This should be part of the academic structure but it is significantly more important to focus on main courses in the meantime.

Main courses help structure a child's future. Different subjects contribute to different learning and knowledge. That's why having physical education as a subject is important as wel because it helps a child to develop strategic decision making, time management, quick response and many other skills. Many successful sportmen and women's today revelied that they explored their hidden talent when they attended extra classes during school time.

In my own experience, some famous alumni names from my school are Abhishek Chauhan, Sunil Grover. On the other hand. 100 of other academic successful alumni are in the big organization Now this explains, my academics learning should be given priority. The target audience for this course is limited as the range is niche. However, academic inclined students are always more in ratio. In a nutshell, academic benefits more in long term achievement, as at every stage of life you need to cm

In conclusion, I have a balanced viewpoint on this. I support and strongly believe that physical education should be part of a child's education but at the same time it is also important to focus on main subjects.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides and give a position: you recognise that physical education supports children’s development, while arguing that academic subjects should take priority. The points about decision-making and time management are relevant, and the school alumni example attempts to support your view. However, the position is not consistently clear: you call the two areas “equally important,” then say academics should be the “top priority,” and later describe physical education as “significantly more important” before concluding with a balanced view. The discussion of why academic study should take priority is also asserted more than explained, and the example is not clearly connected to the argument. Make your position consistent and develop each side with a specific explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and some linking phrases—such as “However,” “In my own experience” and “In conclusion”—help signal the direction of the discussion. However, the progression between ideas is difficult to follow because the position shifts and several points are placed together without clear connections. For example, the paragraph beginning “In my own experience” moves from named alumni to academic success, then to the “target audience” and a claim about long-term achievement. The sentence ending “you need to cm” is incomplete, which interrupts the argument. Organise the body into one paragraph for each view, use clear topic sentences, and ensure each example directly supports the paragraph’s main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “physical education,” “overall growth,” “time management” and “strategic decision making.” This gives the response a basic range for discussing education and sport. However, word choice, collocation and spelling errors are noticeable and sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Examples include “extra curriculum” for extracurricular activities, “academic inclined students,” and “sportmen and women's.” There are also misspellings such as “irreplacable,” “Childern's” and “compeletely.” Some phrases, including “the range is niche,” are unclear in context. Build accuracy by learning common education-related collocations and checking spelling and word forms; choose precise expressions rather than using phrases whose meaning is uncertain.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including “Subjects like physical education should be part of course structure but should be valued more” and the explanation beginning “Different subjects contribute to different learning and knowledge.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “when its come to priorities,” “Childern's who wants,” and “In my own experience, some famous alumni names from my school are…” The sentence “On the other hand. 100 of other academic successful alumni are in the big organization Now this explains…” has problematic sentence boundaries and punctuation, while the final body sentence is incomplete. Practise subject–verb agreement, articles, sentence boundaries and complete clauses, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
