Student answer (Band 5.5)

Physical education play very important role in child's education. It is very important for childeren's mental and physical development. I am strongly in favor of the statement that physical education should be compulsory in the academics.

On the one hand proponents of this is that it provides several benefits to a student which are having similar importance as other subjects. Nowdays, students are busy in their strict schedule of school and tutions, but they don't have time for their physical wellness. By having proper knowledge and dedicated time for invovlement of physcial activities they can be more fit and energetic. Other subjects focuses on building theoretical knowledge while it is more physical oriented.

Furthermore, people believe that there is no career in physical education, but there are various types of jobs available in the market for students who are playing some sport or some other jobs like coach etc.

Although, there are many benefits but people are also disagre with idea that physical education is as important as other core subjects. Many aspects believe that children will only play in physical education. Moreover, they also belives that there is no scope in it. Parents have perception that in school time more focus should only on core subjects like mathematics, science etc. However, people also prioritise marks and ranks only.

In my point of view there should be balance between the physical and metal wellness, both have same importance for well being of a child. By subjects like physical education a children get a break from the continuous study of conceptual subjects, it wiil help them in unwinding mind from dedicated hard study.

It can be concluded that physical education is very important in child's mental development. Although many people believe that they should not be included, but people have to understand its importance.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear opinion that physical education should be included, and you attempt to discuss both perspectives. The benefits you identify—fitness, energy, and a break from academic study—are relevant. You also mention the opposing view that schools should prioritise core subjects and that sport may offer limited career prospects. However, these points are mostly asserted rather than explained: for example, the concern about career opportunities is not connected clearly to why academic study should take priority. The discussion of the academic-focused view is also less developed than your support for physical education. To strengthen the response, explain the reasoning behind each view and add a specific example, then make your final position more precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an identifiable structure, with an introduction, discussion of benefits, a contrasting view, your opinion, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps the reader recognise these stages, and phrases such as “On the one hand,” “Furthermore,” and “In my point of view” signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. The career point, for instance, follows the discussion of fitness without a clear link, and “Although, there are many benefits” introduces the opposing view awkwardly. Some linking phrases are mechanical, while references such as “this” and “it” do not always make the intended idea clear. Group related points more carefully and use transitions that show the precise relationship between them.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “physical wellness,” “theoretical knowledge,” “core subjects,” and “mental development,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the message difficult to follow. Examples include “involvement of physical activities,” “there is no career in physical education,” and “unwinding mind.” Spelling errors such as “childeren's,” “Nowdays,” “invovlement,” and “physcial” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common word partnerships for education and health, and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions would help you explain the contrast between academic learning and physical activity without relying on repeated general terms such as “important” and “believe.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast introduced by “Although” and a relative clause in “students who are playing some sport.” However, grammatical errors are frequent, and some sentences require effort to interpret. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent: “Physical education play” and “Other subjects focuses” should use matching verb forms. Articles, plurals, and sentence construction also need attention, as in “a children get a break” and “there should be balance.” The sentence beginning “On the one hand proponents of this is that” is not grammatically complete in its current form. Practise building accurate basic clauses first, then combine them with conjunctions, checking agreement and articles in each sentence.
