Student answer (Band 5.0)
some people believes physical classes are crucial for children's education. Others say that focusing on academic education is more important. In my opinion both of the options are equally important.
On one hand, physical education classes contributes in children's physical and mental growth. For example, spending an hour doing outdoor activities during the school time can result in stronger physic and they can focus more on studies.
On the other hand, academic education broadens their knowledge. For instance, they can apply the bookish knowledge in real life and implementing that practically leads to achieving practicall as well as the academic knowledge.
In conclusion, both the options has advantageous. physical activities enable the required physical growth, whereas academic knowledge helps to improve practical understanding.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You present a relevant opinion—that both physical education and academic study matter—and briefly discuss each view. The examples about outdoor activity supporting fitness and concentration, and applying book knowledge in real life, are on topic. However, the response addresses the task only partially: both arguments are asserted rather than explained, and the examples lack specific detail or development. The conclusion repeats the position without adding a reasoned summary. The response is also 127 words short of the required minimum, so there is not enough space to develop the discussion adequately. To improve, explain the benefits and limitations of each view, support them with a concrete example, and make your opinion more fully reasoned.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. The signposts “On one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the basic contrast, and the ideas remain focused on the topic. However, progression within paragraphs is limited because each point is followed by only a brief explanation. Some links are unclear, particularly the move from “bookish knowledge” to “implementing that practically,” which makes the relationship between the ideas difficult to follow. The conclusion also repeats earlier points rather than bringing them together. Develop each paragraph with a clear main claim, explanation, and example, and use referencing and transitions to show how each sentence connects.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “physical education,” “academic education,” “physical growth,” and “practical understanding.” There are also attempts to express more specific concepts, such as applying knowledge in real life. However, the range is limited and some word choices or forms are inaccurate or awkward, which reduces precision: “stronger physic” and “achieving practicall” are unclear, while “bookish knowledge” is not the most natural phrase in this context. Repetition of “important,” “knowledge,” and “physical” also limits flexibility. Aim for accurate collocations and a wider range of topic vocabulary, checking spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use simple sentences and attempt some longer structures, including “For example, spending an hour … can result in …” and the contrast in the conclusion. The main meaning is generally understandable, but grammatical errors occur frequently. For example, “some people believes” has subject–verb disagreement, “classes contributes” repeats this problem, and “both the options has” is also incorrect. The sentence beginning “For instance” shifts from “they can apply” to “implementing,” creating an inconsistent structure. Capitalisation at the start of sentences is also inconsistent. Practise agreement, consistent sentence patterns, and accurate punctuation; then build longer sentences around one clear grammatical structure at a time.
