Student answer (Band 4.0)
I personally believe that both academic and physical education is important to a students life. Having physical education helps students brain rest from all the things they memorize in their academic classes.Despite of the fact that academic classes help student more when it comes to their paperworks, physical education classes can also be the students way of relaxing themselves from all the pressures they get .There are also students that are way more energectic when it comes to physucal education classes but very slow on academic. Having both classes helps balance the students mind and straight.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You give a clear personal view that both academic and physical education matter, and you offer relevant reasons: physical activity can give students a break from memorising, while academic lessons support schoolwork. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the academic-focused position receives little explanation beyond “help student more when it comes to their paperworks.” Your ideas are also asserted rather than developed with examples or explanation, and the response does not reach the required 250 words. To improve, explain why some people prioritise academic subjects, develop the benefits of physical education, and support each point with a specific example before stating your conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has a recognisable overall direction: it introduces your opinion, gives reasons for physical education, and ends by saying the two types of classes create balance. Linking expressions such as “Despite of the fact” and “There are also” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the response is a single paragraph, so the discussion of the two views and your opinion are not clearly separated. Some connections are awkward, and the ideas move quickly from academic work to relaxation and then to energetic students without enough explanation. Use separate paragraphs for the academic view, the physical-education view, and your position, with clear transitions and a concluding sentence.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “physical education,” “academic classes,” “pressures,” and “balance.” These choices make your main meaning understandable. However, the range is limited, and several word choices or spellings are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “paperworks,” “energectic,” “physucal,” and “straight” where you appear to mean “strength.” The phrase “relaxing themselves from all the pressures” is also not a natural collocation. Build a wider set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise expressions such as “academic workload,” “physical activity,” and “relieve stress” would help you express your ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “Despite of the fact that” and a sentence beginning “Having physical education.” The main message is generally understandable, but errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction are noticeable. For example, “both academic and physical education is important” needs plural agreement, and “a students life” has an incorrect article and possessive form. “Having physical education helps students brain rest” is also structurally unclear, while punctuation is missing after “classes” in the second sentence. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and possessives, and use shorter, complete sentences when expressing complex ideas.
