Student answer (Band 5.5)
Education play a very crucial role in the life of every person. with the help of education person can become intelligent in their life. so in my point of views both physical and academic knowledge are equaly important for everyone.
first of all i will discuss about the physical education classes. physical education helps student to buiilt their personality. if i talk about modern world, these days everyone is having electronic devices such as phone, computer, laptop and many more. so most of the students use their time on these devices to play games, for the entertainment and listening music and so on. so they are not physically active . they do not like to go out to play games, they just spend their time on phone. so due to that it is not good for their body. they are becoming lazy, unactiive and obesity is one the reasons. in their physical classes in school time teacher encourage them to play game in ground and enjoy with their friend while playing different physical games overthere. it is very beneficial for them because they feel freash, anagetic and more active.
on the other hand, academic knowledge is also very important for them. with the help of this they become more knowledgable and intelligent. if they will be more intelligent they can solve any problem in their life. they also learn many things during their study like how to communicate with others, punchuality, time management and many other things which are important in life.
i want to share one example that is from my school time. it was when i was studing in 7th standard. i was not interested in physical classes. so most of the time i used to stay in class instead of going to ground, but it was biggest mistake of my time . i spent most of time to academic classes. due to that i was not that much actiive physically that time.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for the importance of both physical and academic education. The discussion of physical education is relevant: you explain how screen use can reduce activity and how school games may help students become more active. You also identify benefits of academic study, including problem-solving and learning time management. However, the academic side is mostly listed rather than explained, and your school-time example supports your regret about avoiding physical classes but does not fully develop your opinion about how schools should balance the two subjects. To strengthen the response, explain why each area matters and give a direct conclusion that answers which approach you favour and why.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on physical education, a paragraph on academics, and a personal example. Phrases such as “first of all” and “on the other hand” help signal the shift between views. However, progression is limited because several ideas are joined through repeated “so” and “they,” making the physical-education paragraph feel like a chain of points rather than a developed argument. The personal example is placed at the end without a concluding paragraph, so the essay stops before clearly bringing the discussion together. Use clearer links between cause and effect, vary referencing, and finish by restating your balanced position and the reason for it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “physical education,” “academics,” “time management,” and “physically active.” Some phrases also show an attempt to express specific effects, such as students becoming “lazy” or “unactive.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “important,” “students,” and “so.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, including “equally,” “built,” “energetic,” and “punctuality,” which can distract the reader. Some combinations are unnatural, such as “play game in ground.” Build a wider set of accurate collocations for education, health, and school activities, and check spelling before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, for example, “if they will be more intelligent they can solve any problem in their life.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but the range is limited and complex sentences are often inaccurate. Errors include missing or incorrect articles and plurals (“Education play,” “helps student”), inconsistent verb forms (“if they will be”), and sentence-boundary and capitalization problems, such as beginning sentences with lowercase “with” and “so.” These errors recur and sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, conditional forms, and sentence punctuation, then use a few controlled complex structures rather than joining many clauses with “so.”
