Nowadays, sports have become popular in many countries. It is often argued that physical education is crucial for a child's development, while others believe that academics should be prioritized more in schools. Both views have their reasons, and these will be discussed in the upcoming paragraphs.
On the one hand, physical studies should be included in stuent's subjects because it helps in physical and intellectual growth. Spending time in sports allow children to perform various physical activities and help them stay healthy, fit, and stress free. As a result, they get encouraged towards healthy lifestyle. Moreover, they can pursue to build thier career in sports with their interests, and acheive success in their lives. For example, sports has resulted in children to participate worldwide and acheive success for their nations on various levels. Therefore, sports should be included along with academic subjects.
On the other hand, beind fully dependent on sports can cause distractions. Spending more time in playing, students often prioritize it over their academics. Due to this, they fail in their education. Additionally, they cannot completely rely on sports because they do not get various options, nevertheless spending more time on studies can provide several career oppurtunities. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the discussion and give a clear final view: schools should balance sport and academic study. The benefits of exercise, including health and possible sporting careers, are relevant, as is the concern that excessive time devoted to sport may limit academic options. However, the two sides are not developed equally. The first example about children succeeding internationally is broad, while the second claim about people who could not study because of sport is unclear and not convincingly explained. Your opinion also appears most explicitly in the conclusion rather than being reinforced throughout. Explain the consequences of each view more precisely and use a specific, credible example to support your reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The progression from the benefits of physical education to the risks of prioritising sport is easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help guide the reader. This organisation is effective, though some linking feels formulaic, and connections within paragraphs are occasionally unclear. For example, “Additionally, they cannot completely rely on sports because they do not get various options” does not clearly explain how the point follows from the previous sentence. Use more precise references and transitions, and make each paragraph’s reasoning build step by step.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “physical and intellectual growth,” “healthy lifestyle,” “career opportunities,” and “prioritize.” There are also attempts at less common phrasing, but inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make meaning less clear. Examples include “pursue to build their career,” “sports has resulted in children,” and “beind fully dependent on sports.” Several misspellings, such as “stuent's,” “acheive,” and “oppurtunities,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural combinations such as “pursue a career in sport” and “participate in international competitions,” and proofread carefully. A wider range of precise expressions would help you explain the contrast between academic and sporting pathways.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “while,” “because,” and “although,” and the main message is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with subject–verb agreement and sentence construction. For example, “Spending time in sports allow children” should use a singular verb, while “sports has resulted” also has an agreement problem. The conclusion begins with “although” but does not complete the contrast as a full sentence, and “There should be a balance” would be more grammatically complete than “There should be a balance” only if the current misspelling is corrected; the sentence also needs clearer connection to the preceding clause. Review agreement, complete sentence structures, and punctuation, especially around introductory phrases and sentence boundaries.
