Student answer (Band 5.5)

SEVERAL INDIVIDUALS THINKS THAT STUDY IN CLASSES ACTIVELY PLAYS VITAL ROLE IN CHILDREN'S EDUCATION ,WHILE SOME BELIEVE THAT IN SCHOOLS THEY MIGHT FOCUS ON THE ACADEMICS. THIS ESSAY WILL PROVIDE BOTH THE VIEWS ALONGWITH MY OPINION IN UPCOMING PARAGRAPHS.

ON THE ONE HAND, PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES ARE CONSIDERED AS A BEST PART IN EDUCATION. FIRST AND FOREMOST , TAKING PART IN PHYSICAL CURRICULUM HELPS STUDENT TO PRESENT THEIR HIDDEN TALENTS, WHICH INCREASES THEIR CONFIDENCE AS WELL AS COMMUNICATION SKILLS . THIS RESULTS NOT ONLY TO BE A MULTI-TASKING,BUT ALSO BE CREATIVE FOR MANAGINGTHEIR FURTHER STUDIES MATERIALS DURING EXAMS. TO SITE AN EXAMPLE, TAKINK PART IN ACTIVITIES SUCH AS ART COMPETITIONS , EXAMS SUCH AS IMO , NSO GIVE THEM OPPORTUNITIES TO DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS , AND ENCHANCE THEIR THEIR THINKING TOWARDS EDUCATION.

ON THE OTHER HAND, ACADEMICS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN OTHER ACTIVITIES. FIRSTLY, ACADEMICS ALLOWS CHILDREN TO BE A PART OF THE BEST UNIVERSITIES IN THE WORLD. TO ELABORATE, IF CHILDREN GIVE THEIR 100 PERCENT IN THEIR EXAMS AND SCORE BEST GRADE , THIS GIVE THEM CHANCE TO TAKE A ADMISSION IN BEST COLLEGE OR UNIVERITY FOR THEIR CARRIER. TO SITE AN EXAMPLE, SCORING GOOD IN GRADE 12 HELPS TO BE A PART OF EXAMS SUCH AS NEET, JEE , DUE TO WHICH THEY MIGHT GET SCHOOLARSHIP IN HIGH LEVEL STUDIES TOO AS WELL AS EASILY GET CHANCE TO DO FORIEGNER STUDIES.

IN MY OPINION, I BELIEVE THAT CHILDREN MUST GIVE EQUAL TIME TO BOTH PHYSICAL AND ACADEMICS WHICH MIGHT BE HELPFUL TO HAVE A BETTER FUTURE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES.

IN CONCLUSION , ALTHOUGH PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES ARE USEFUL FOR BUILDING THEIR CONFIDENCE , AND HELPS THEM TO SHOW THEIR HIDDEN TALENTS. APART FROM THIS, ACADEMICS GIVE THEM OPPORTUNITY TO BE A PART OF BEST UNIVERITIES AND COLLEGES IN FUTURE.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the discussion and state a clear opinion that children should give equal time to physical education and academics. The academic paragraph gives relevant reasons, linking strong results with university admission and future opportunities. However, the physical-education discussion does not stay focused on the prompt: examples such as art competitions and IMO/NSO exams are not clearly physical education, and the benefits of exercise itself are not explained. Several claims, including that activities make students “multi-tasking” and creative, are also unclear or insufficiently supported. To strengthen the response, explain specific effects of sport or exercise on health, concentration, or teamwork, and develop the equal-time position with a reason or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In my opinion” make the progression easy to follow. This coherent organisation is a strength. However, some connections are mechanical, and the ideas within paragraphs do not always link clearly. For example, the move from physical activities to “managing their further studies materials” is difficult to follow, while the conclusion repeats the two sides without restating your equal-time position. Use clearer cause-and-effect links and ensure each example directly supports the paragraph’s main point; this would make cohesion more flexible and the progression more convincing.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “confidence,” “communication skills,” “universities,” and “scholarship,” and you attempt phrases such as “hidden talents” and “future career opportunities.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate enough to make some ideas difficult to understand. For instance, “study in classes actively” does not clearly express physical education, “physical curriculum” is an awkward description, and “do foreigner studies” is not idiomatic. Spelling errors such as “univerity,” “schoolarship,” and “foriegner” also reduce accuracy. Build a more reliable set of topic-specific phrases and check spelling, word forms, and natural combinations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the contrastive opening “Although physical activities are useful…” and the conditional “If children give their 100 percent…”. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction frequently affect clarity. Examples include “Several individuals thinks,” “this give them chance,” and “a admission”; these require plural agreement and more accurate article use. The conclusion’s “Although…” clause is left without a complete main clause, and the long sentence beginning “This results not only…” is structurally unclear. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main idea, then check subject–verb agreement, articles, and clause boundaries.
