In some educational systems, children are required to study one or more foreign languages. In others, foreign language study is not a requirement. What are the potential benefits of foreign language study? 

Do you think foreign language study is an important part of education?

Give reasons for your answer, and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

Language defines culture of every nation. In many educational authorities it is mandatory to study foreign language, on the other side there is no requirement to study these languages. Studying foreign language is very crucial, there are numerous benefits, which are explained in upcoming paragraphs.

To commence with, language plays a fundamental role behind success of every business. To elaborate it, if a person studied some foreign language during schooling, then it become easier to expand business Worldwide, it means it is easier to deal with people of other nations because there is no language barrier to communicate. For example, Tesla is at top of the car market because it's showrooms are every in the world. Which means they know how to communicate with people of other countries, they know how to deal in other languages. Thus, studying foreign language brings you towards success in any sector, if you know how important is having knowledge of other languages.

Furthermore, everyone loves to explore the world, it means having study of foreign language is also essential for tourism sector. In other words, many people prefer to visit overseas countries, some avoid it because they don't know the languages that helps them to travel. To avoid such kind of situation it is very necessary thing to study foreign language. For instance, if a person visit countries like India, there are lot of places that represents history. This history is written on sign boards, so in that case if a person do not familiar with language which is written on boards, then visit of these places is waste of time because he do not get proper facts behind history, Hence, learning foreign language also helps you to explore the world and cultures in the world.

In conclusion, it is necessary to keep study of foreign language in education system because it helps nation to grow worldwide and also helps to tourism sectors of every country and boost economy bay tourist industry.
