IELTS Writing Task 2 question

In some educational systems, children are required to study one or more foreign languages. In others, foreign language study is not a requirement. What are the potential benefits of foreign language study? 

Do you think foreign language study is an important part of education?

Give reasons for your answer, and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

"Learning new language is essential for your own development"

In some schools and colleges it is mandatory to learn new foreign languages because it benefits in many ways for youngsters who want to pursue their career in any foreign country, so they do not have to struggle to learn language when they visit to new country and they can save lot of time and energy if they already aware of that particular language, for instance if a student is pursuing his studies in Russia , he can save time to learn Russian language as he already know it , he can save his time and get an employment in Russia and make some extra penny as a part time job.

Furthermore, I believe that it is important part of education as it helps you to develop many skills if you you learn any new language. Whereas some educational system doesn't teach any other language rather than their own as they believe that it is waste of time and effort

There is some repetition of simple terms like 'save time' and 'language'. Phrases such as 'make some extra penny' are informal and not ideal for an academic or formal task. To improve, you should aim to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to education and linguistics, and focus on using more precise collocations and academic expressions to convey your ideas more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains several grammatical errors, including missing articles (e.g., 'learn new language'), subject-verb agreement issues, and punctuation errors. The first paragraph is essentially one long, comma-spliced sentence, which demonstrates a lack of control over complex sentence structures. To improve, focus on using a mix of simple and complex sentences, ensure correct article usage, and practice using punctuation to separate distinct ideas rather than relying on commas.
