Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some teaching institutes requires the learning of one or more than one foreign languages whereas in some institutes learning foreign language is not mandatory. Studying foreign language varoius benefits such as better communication and more growth opportnities.
The main benefit of learning foreign language is grabbing opportnities that are available if an individual knows foreign language. If a person well understand international language, then he can take its advantage by earning more and securing job. For example, in India Hindi is the national language but majority of its population write and speak english very well. They secure job in many foreign companies like bell and do outsourcing. They are getting more pay from international companies as compared to indian companies. Therefore, if a person is fluent in foreign language, then he can secure a good future.
Another benefit of studying foreign language includes better communication. In today world, people are migrating from one country to other. If individual do not understand the language of that nation, then it would be difficult for him to survive there. Langauge acts as communication tool and person should be procient in that language. For example, 2 years ago, I went to Russia for exploring its natural beauty but i was not able to interact with other people because i do not konw Russian and faced a lot difficulties. Therfore, its better to learn foreign language. So learning foreign language improve communication.
I think that learning foreign languages are interal part of leaning. Almost every educational institue should implement the learning of international languages. Thus it helps in building secure future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of foreign language study and the opinion on its importance in education. The ideas are relevant, such as economic advantages and communication skills. However, the development is somewhat limited. The examples provided, such as the mention of India and the personal anecdote about Russia, are clear but could be expanded with more sophisticated analysis to reach a higher band. The position is clear throughout, though the conclusion is brief and lacks a summary of the main points discussed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. There is a logical progression from economic benefits to communication benefits. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'The main benefit', 'Another benefit', 'Therefore'). Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and better transition phrases to connect ideas more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks range and precision. There are several spelling errors, such as 'varoius', 'opportnities', 'procient', 'konw', and 'interal', which indicate a need for more careful proofreading. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'migrating' and 'fluent', the overall lexical range is limited. To improve, the student should focus on using more varied synonyms and ensuring accurate spelling of common academic terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('teaching institutes requires', 'learning of foreign languages are'), missing articles ('in today world', 'if individual do not'), and awkward phrasing ('If a person well understand'). While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. More attention to verb tenses and article usage is required.
