Student answer (Band 5.5)
In todays fast paced era, students are getting very fast from early age they know about so many things such as different languages as well as what is happening in other corner of the world. I believe, in this competitive world it is very important to study foreign languages as they have their benefits in children future.
Firstly, to begin with the advantage of learning other language as children get to know about the culture of that country as well as the history behind that language that helps to vast the area of their knowledge. Moreover, as we all are ware of the trend of studying abroad and if the children already know the foreign language. Their concepts are already clear other than that they know the area of their interest like where they want to study in future. It make things easy for them for their future. For example, In India so many private schools offer subjects as foreign language and students get chance to learn those subjects from from primary classes. In this when they move to other countries for higher studies it will become easy for them to survive there because they already know their culture as well as they can communicate in a good way.
In my opinion, learning foreign language is an important part education system, as it will open numerous doors for their bright future as after learning foreign language its a kind of skill for student what they have.
Other than that, as we all know that tourism is quiet popular know days people visit to different countries to explore the culture. So, in result if student know different language they would be able to communicate with foreigners and they will explain more about their own country.
In conclusion, learning foreign language will vast the area of knowledge as well as improve their confidence. So, that they can travel to anywhere and do anything in their life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of foreign language study and the opinion on its importance in education. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'tourism' is mentioned but not fully explored in relation to the educational context. The argument regarding 'studying abroad' is relevant but could be supported with more sophisticated reasoning. While the task is addressed, the depth of analysis is consistent with a Band 6 level, as some points are repetitive or lack sufficient elaboration to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion', though some transitions feel mechanical or slightly repetitive. There are instances where referencing is unclear, such as the phrase 'In this when they move...' which lacks a clear antecedent. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be improved to ensure that each idea flows more naturally into the next. Overall, the coherence is sufficient for a Band 6, as the message is generally easy to follow despite some minor lapses in cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'vast the area of their knowledge' (instead of 'expand') and 'quiet popular know days' (a spelling error for 'quite popular nowadays'). The student relies on a limited set of vocabulary, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic expressions. While the meaning is generally clear, the errors in collocation and word choice are noticeable and occasionally impede the flow of the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('it make things easy'), missing articles, and punctuation errors. For example, 'students are getting very fast from early age' is grammatically unclear. While the student attempts complex sentences, these often contain errors that require the reader to re-read to understand the intended meaning. The frequency of these errors is high enough to prevent the essay from reaching a Band 6, as the control over grammar is inconsistent.
