Student answer (Band 6.0)
In few teaching systems, it is mandatory to study one or more non-native language meanwhile in exceptional it is not compulsary. Having the knowlege of foreign language help the students to have a bright future in other countries as well as their own countries.
I believe that to study the foreign languages is now important part of education. Due to globalisation the networks of all the companies is intra countries. For the support of the career students must learn international language to deal with the customers of another region whose mother tongue is not similar to you. If a person is not multi-lingual then neither he/she can work in a foreign organisation nor get a chance for brighter future to earn in foreign currency.
Although the world is expanding their boundries not in terms of area but in terms of networking. Many jobs demands the English language because it is common language of world. For example: in an tour organizing company and the guide should know more that one language of their country especially English.
The most of the researches are done and then make a report in English. Those are later on translate to another languages but while translating it sometimes it changes the meaning of the sentence. If the person already understand the language then he can read and analyse the original report rather than to rely on the translations.
To sum up, the understanding of another languages is important because the world is going beyond boundaries. Everyone is in the competition for each other and the winner will be the one who is walking along the time.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of foreign language study and the opinion on its importance in education. The ideas are relevant, focusing on career prospects and the accuracy of information access. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the point about research translation is a strong argument but could have been expanded with more depth. The position is clear throughout, though the supporting arguments occasionally rely on generalizations, such as the claim that 'everyone is in competition'. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully explored with more specific examples or logical consequences.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a central theme. There is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'In few teaching systems' or 'Those are later on translate'. Referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect ideas more fluidly. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different arguments, which helps the reader follow the writer's line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'globalisation' and 'multi-lingual', but there are also persistent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'intra countries' instead of 'international' or 'across countries', and 'make a report' instead of 'write a report'. Some phrasing is slightly unnatural, such as 'walking along the time'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word choice and a better understanding of collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with articles ('the foreign languages'), subject-verb agreement ('the networks... is'), and verb forms ('are later on translate'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward sentence constructions that affect readability. While the writer attempts complex sentences, these are often where the errors are most noticeable. To improve, the writer should focus on basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with pluralization and verb tense consistency, before attempting more complex structures.
