Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that there is necessary to include few international languages for students as a part of their study, while others believe that it is not important to add. This essay will show an important advantages of it and according to my perspective, international languages are an essential part of learning.
To commence with, there are multiple pros of learning new languages especially foreign ones. Firstly, it helps to deal with international organizations as well as increases confidence of an individual. To elaborate more, there are more competition in today's modern and technological era and to cope up with this, people must know some different languages not only for better communication but also for to be more confident while talking. For example, a survey conducted by national agency on the how people feel during international conference when they know their language shows 80% of individual feels more confident.
Apart from this, children are more able to learn new languages as they are in their growing phase. In the other words, they are more enthusiastic and curious to learn new things, so if there are more languages in their education, they will easily adopt it. This will make them languistically profound as well as help them for their future adventures. For instance, pupils have no fear when they go abroad for their higher education.
According to me, I believe that languages are an essential to learn during study especially as a part of education to develop efficient languages skills, which eventually help people in multiple ways such as, foreign tours, international businesses, foreign studies and, many more.
In conclusion, there are lists of benefits to add more languages in learning system. Some believes it is good to add more languages in the education system, while others oppose but I firmly believe that it should be an essential part of a study.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, identifying potential benefits such as increased confidence and improved career prospects, and clearly states a position in favor of foreign language study. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the example regarding the survey is vague and lacks specific context, and the argument about children being 'in their growing phase' is a common generalization. To reach a higher band, the ideas need to be extended with more specific, logical reasoning or concrete examples that demonstrate a deeper understanding of the topic rather than relying on general assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with', 'Firstly', 'Apart from this', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some of these devices are used in a slightly mechanical or repetitive way. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as the transition between the benefits of language learning and the specific example of children. While the overall progression is clear, the use of referencing and substitution could be more sophisticated to improve the natural flow of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'languistically profound' (though this is an incorrect collocation) and 'technological era'. However, there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'there is necessary to include' instead of 'it is necessary', and 'cope up with' instead of 'cope with'. The range of vocabulary is sufficient to communicate, but the lack of precision and occasional awkward phrasing prevent it from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'there are more competition' (subject-verb agreement), 'an important advantages' (article/pluralization error), and 'some believes' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage in lists. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to indicate that the student does not yet have full control over complex structures, which is a requirement for higher bands.
