Student answer (Band 6.0)
In many nations, schools or universities are teaching foreign languages as a compulsory subject, while in other countries foreign language study is not required. Learning other languages has several benefits such as students can speak confidently in many parts of the world if they learn different languages. In my opinion, foreign language study is an important part of education because this learning can increase the chances of succeed in the future.
One of the main advantages of learning different languages can significantly boost a person's confident. Different nations speak different languages, so many people often find it difficult to communicate at new countries because they generally can't speak any other languages. As a result, they may feel helpless and less confident, since they usually can't express themselves. On the other side, individuals who can speak other languages generally convey their messages easily, which can built their self confidence.
I think that learning different languages is an important part of education because it not only increases students' confidence, but also helps them in future opportunities. Many international companies are looking for skilled workers, and they give preferences to those applicants who can speak different languages because these candidates can communicate with their foreign clients. So, if a job seekers, especially in countries who are dealing with unemployment can speak different languages may increases their chances of getting hire in developed nations.
In conclusion, there is no doubt that learning foreign languages is an important skill, since it may may make students more confidence and can use as an important aspect while securing a job. So. I think it plays a vital role in education system.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of language study and the opinion on its importance in education. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the argument regarding 'confidence' is mentioned in both the second and third paragraphs without significant new depth. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on the benefits beyond just confidence and employability, perhaps touching on cognitive development or cultural awareness. The ideas are relevant, but the support could be more varied and detailed to fully explore the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'As a result', 'On the other side', and 'In conclusion', which help the flow. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, there are minor issues with referencing and punctuation, such as the sentence fragment 'So. I think it plays a vital role...' and the awkward phrasing 'in countries who are dealing with unemployment'. Improving the variety of linking words would enhance the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'compulsory subject', 'unemployment', and 'developed nations'. However, there are several word-choice errors and inaccuracies, such as 'boost a person's confident' (should be 'confidence'), 'at new countries' (should be 'in new countries'), and 'can built their self confidence' (should be 'can build'). These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and subject-verb agreement. Examples include 'if a job seekers... can speak... may increases their chances' (should be 'if a job seeker... can speak... it may increase') and 'can use as an important aspect' (should be 'can be used'). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your argument. To improve, focus on ensuring that your verb tenses and pluralization are consistent throughout your sentences.
