Education plays a very significant role in individuals lives and contributed to the overall development of society. In some educational institutions, overseas languages are must to study for students. While in others there is not any compulsion to learn foreign languages. There are several benefits to study different languages. I believe study foreign language is an important part of education for scholars to broaden their horizon.
Firstly, let's look at the potential benefits of overseas language. Students who are bilingual have more employment opportunities. This is because they are most likely to move abroad and find more jobs of their own preferences. Moreover, it also give them an opportunity to make foreign friends and get to their local tradition . For instance, if youngsters who move to abroad for their studies know their local language get easily adjusted in their atmosphere and less likely to get into troubles. As a result, foreign languages often help children to get comfortable in different countries.
Admittedly, study foreign languages in schools are an important part of education system because it help children to get to know about culture and history of other nations. By this they may be able to expand their knowledge. In addition, bilingualism is one of the skill which would be helpful for students in their future prospects. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt: it identifies benefits of foreign language study and expresses a clear opinion on its importance in education. The ideas are relevant, such as employment opportunities and cultural adjustment. However, some points are slightly under-developed; for instance, the link between language and 'local tradition' is mentioned but not fully explained. The position is consistent throughout the essay. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced examples and ensure that the connection between the benefits and the educational context is more explicitly articulated in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', 'In addition', and 'To cite an example' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the phrase 'By this they may be able to' which is slightly awkward. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that the logical progression between sentences is smoother and less repetitive.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'bilingualism', 'compulsion', and 'prospects'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'overseas languages are must to study' (should be 'a requirement') and 'get to their local tradition' (should be 'learn about'). There are also minor errors in word form, such as 'study foreign language' instead of 'studying a foreign language'. While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the score. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise collocations would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('it also give them', 'there are number of companies who offers') and article usage ('in educational institutions', 'in atmosphere'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some issues with spacing and capitalization. While the meaning remains clear, the frequency of these errors prevents a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, especially verb endings and articles, will significantly improve your writing.
