Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this new era educational system required youth to study foreign languages. In others international language is not important. according to me there are some benefits of foreign language study.
Firstly, if youth will study international languages, they do not feel any difficulty to visit any country in their life as well as to do jobs there for their better future. Secondly, learning more languages boost their confident level, and they will make some friends easily on social media platforms. Moreover, in future if somebody need them such as older or needy person, they easily help them and understand them. For Example, last night I found one person in a street he was speaking other language. he looked too weak and hungry when I gave him food he rejected and also crying after that due to language problem i didn't listen his problem.
Furthermore, now a days youth are so advance they easily grad things if institution help them to learn languages they will learn easily. moving further, there are some technologies which help them such as YouTube, Instagram and more websites. moreover, in Europe most of the institutions help children to learn languages such as French. because Europe is a multilingual country. Most of the tourist visit there from different countries so it is very helpful for them to communicate.
In conclusion, learning foreign language is very integral for youth because it has lots of merits. so according to my knowledge or experience it has many benefits of learning.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of foreign language study and the importance of including it in education. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While the benefits regarding travel and communication are mentioned, the explanation of the personal anecdote is somewhat confusing and does not clearly link back to the educational context. The position is clear, but the arguments lack depth and rely on generalizations. To improve, you should expand on the educational benefits, such as cognitive development or cultural empathy, rather than focusing primarily on social media or anecdotal experiences.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Furthermore' to signal transitions. However, the progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes disjointed. For instance, the transition from the anecdote about the hungry person to the discussion about technology is abrupt. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as the use of 'they' when referring to 'youth' or 'institutions'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You rely on simple, repetitive terms like 'study', 'learn', and 'help'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'grad things' (likely meaning 'grasp concepts') and 'confident level' (should be 'confidence level'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more academic vocabulary and precise collocations related to education and linguistics, while ensuring that your word choices are accurate and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'tourist visit'), missing articles, and incorrect verb tenses (e.g., 'if somebody need them'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with sentence boundaries and capitalization. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and tense consistency will be very beneficial.
