Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often seen that the students had to learn multiple foreign languages ,whereas in some institutions this is not mandatory. There are several benefits for learning different languages. In my opinion, this will helps in the career growth and communication ability of childrens.
The schools that have requirements of multiple languages are ,mainly because, their students have to be top in the society with different capabilities. Their parents are also looking for that. So, this will help to compete with the childrens in the society. Thus is the main reason people are admitting their childrens to private institution whereas governments schools are there.
The primary advantage of having multiple language is the broad opening of job opportunity. Most of the multi national companies are ;looking for these type of candidates. They believe that it will help to have easy communication with the other employees in the company from different nationalities. In addition to this, it also benefits while making transferring people to other countries for job or meetings. for instance, after my studies there was were placements in my college. I and my friends applied for a position in Germany. Even thou i had higher marks in the semesters he got the job only because he knows German language.
Secondly, ability to talk in different language will helps to communicate with different people. When we travel to a different country they might not know English or our native language. So, in such instance this will be really helpful.
I believe that learning new languages from the schools have more benefits outweigh its drawbacks. So, it will defnitly helps in their long run.
In conclusion, since there is multiple advantages of studying foreign languages like better career growth and communication skills from the young age, this should definetly added in the education system.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of foreign language study and the opinion on its importance in education. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of why schools require languages is a bit repetitive and lacks depth regarding the cognitive or cultural benefits. The personal example provided is relevant but could be more effectively integrated to support the argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a more thorough exploration of the points raised rather than relying on general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In addition to this', 'For instance', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Thus is the main reason'. Additionally, there are instances where referencing is unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be improved by ensuring each sentence builds logically upon the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'multi national companies' and 'capabilities', but the range remains somewhat limited. There are also several spelling errors (e.g., 'defnitly', 'definetly') and minor word-choice inaccuracies, such as 'admitting their childrens' instead of 'enrolling their children'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise and varied word usage to achieve a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('this will helps', 'language will helps'), incorrect verb tenses ('the students had to learn'), and punctuation errors (misuse of commas and semicolons). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors demonstrate a lack of control over complex structures. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and refining the use of punctuation to ensure sentences are grammatically sound.
