Student answer (Band 4.5)
Yeah in many of the institute offers to learn more languages in my point of view I will prefer to learn more languages
The benefits of learning different languages should be that if we are travelling to another country so the language you gave learn will help you further
Its should not be very important that we learn different languages but It should be more helpful for our futures and we became more confident
I think as my point of view if I gave an example as a student as a human being it's a very good discussion to learn different language aa a example my sister does not lnw how to speak in English and she faces many difficulties of this so yeah that's the reason that you should know every language and most interesting think is that you will enjoy to learn more languages and whenever you visit to any country it should help you in your future goals
So I prefer that go to different institution to lean language or watch different types of movies on different languages it should help you most probably in your vocabulary and further lifetime
So go for your best goals for your future and when you go to any other country you can confidently speak in any language
So go and achieve your goals and make your parents proud of yours self.
Thank you for this

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the benefits of learning foreign languages and offering a personal opinion on whether it should be an important part of education. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive, relying on vague statements like 'help you further' and 'good discussion'. The example of the student's sister is somewhat relevant but lacks depth. Furthermore, the response falls short of the 250-word minimum, containing only 235 words, which negatively impacts task achievement under IELTS guidelines. While a clear position is established, the under-length nature and under-developed arguments restrict the score to a Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The organization of the text is weak and lacks standard essay structure. The response consists of a single block of text with no clear paragraphing, making the progression of ideas difficult to follow. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, and occasionally misused, such as the frequent reliance on 'So' to initiate new sentences and conclusions. Referencing is also imprecise, leading to a disjointed flow where thoughts bleed into one another without logical transitions. While there is an overall attempt to address the topic sequentially, the lack of paragraphing and poor cohesion place this performance firmly at Band 4.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic, repetitive, and heavily influenced by spoken or informal registers, such as 'Yeah', 'so yeah', and conversational filler. The student attempts some less common phrases like 'future goals' and 'confidentially speak', but these demonstrate noticeable errors in word choice and collocation. Spelling and word formation are generally basic, with errors like 'institute' used for institutions and 'lnw' (or typos like 'think' instead of 'thing'). The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for conveying simple ideas, corresponding to a Band 4.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The grammatical structure of the essay is heavily restricted. The text relies mostly on simple and clumsy compound sentences joined by conjunctions like 'and' and 'so'. There are frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'the language you gave learn', 'Its should not be very important', and 'my sister does not lnw how to speak'. Punctuation is largely neglected, with run-on sentences dominating the response and ending with inappropriate conversational remarks like 'Thank you for this'. Because errors are frequent and often cause strain for the reader, the grammar warrants a Band 4.0.
