IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In some educational systems, children are required to study one or more foreign languages. In others, foreign language study is not a requirement. What are the potential benefits of foreign language study?
Do you think foreign language study is an important part of education?
Give reasons for your answer, and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, learning a foreign language is become a part of study in schools and colleges but it is not a mendetory. Learning a different language has some advantages as well as it has some importance which will be described in upcoming paragraps.
First and the foremost benefit is, it will increase individual knowledge. To elaborate this, when people embark to learn new langauge which is different from their mother taunge, it will enhance their thinking level because they learn new vocabularies and all. In addition, in future if they travel vivide parts of the world it will assist them in many ways. For instance, they can easily communicate with local people or they can participate in their special occasion whitout any misunderstending. Thus, these are some usefull benefits to learn foreign language.
On the other hand, this is an important part of the study because in this neoteric world, if student learn foreign langauge in school or in college they become a billingual which help them in their carrer. Furthermore, in this modren ear going abroad for study becoming a dream of pupils. Therefore, if they learn foreign langauge in their study it will help them in their further eduction.
To sum up, it will increase the knowledge of people as well as it assist them in the foreign trip. According to me, it is an vital part of the study because it make student billingual and help them in their carrer.
