IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In some educational systems, children are required to study one or more foreign languages. In others, foreign language study is not a requirement. What are the potential benefits of foreign language study?
Do you think foreign language study is an important part of education?
Give reasons for your answer, and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 4.5)
In some educational instituions studying foreign languages are must for childrens however in some other institutions learning new languages are not required. In this essay I will discuss both the choices but in my perspective I think learning foreign languages has more benefits.
On the one hand , it is quiet difficult to learn other language from scrath. It requires really hardwork ,consistency and sometimes requires lots of time and patience. Sometimes children gor frustrate easily and they dont pay any attention which is totally a wastage of time for teachers.
On the other hand it has some benefits too. If children elsrn foreigh languages it will be easier for them to adapt other countries culture . It will look more familair rather than struggling with the environment . It would be wasier to study abroad as well they dont have to face langugae barrier.
