Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is irrifutable fact that studying one or more languages are mandatory in some educational systems for students. The primary benefit for lerning non-native language is that it can be benificial in the coming future if person would plan to go to a foreign country. Another significant benefit could be to connect socially easily if one knows the foreign speaking lenguage. I strongly believe that learning multiple foreign lenguages is essential part of education.
There are numerous pros to adapting foreign languages from school. Pupils get benefit while planning to go for further study in different nations, such as Canada and the USA. There are different types of lenguage exmas are required to get admission in the university and colleges. For instance, students has to pass IELTS, Celpip or PTE any of these english elegible lenguages to get admission. Thus, it could be benefitial if a person learned this before.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing potential benefits of foreign language study and giving a personal opinion. However, the essay is severely underdeveloped and significantly under-length, containing only 166 words compared to the minimum requirement of 250 words. This results in a heavy penalty for task completion and limited development of ideas. While the writer touches on studying abroad and social connections, the arguments lack elaboration, and the final paragraph trails off mid-sentence: 'Moreover, people can connect online through social media platform such as facebook or instagram in the world'. Consequently, the overall task is only partially addressed due to the brevity and incomplete final thought.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The text demonstrates some basic organisational structure with paragraphs, but overall cohesion is disrupted by the short, unfinished nature of the essay. Transitional phrases like 'The primary benefit' and 'Moreover' are used to link ideas, but referencing is sometimes unclear, and the mechanical flow is evident. The final paragraph breaks off abruptly in the middle of a sentence, severely impacting the logical progression and overall coherence of the response. Paragraphing is attempted, but the extreme brevity means the structural development of the argument cannot be fully realised.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The student demonstrates a limited and basic range of vocabulary, with frequent spelling and word-choice errors that impede communication. Examples of errors include 'irrifutable' for irrefutable, 'lerning' for learning, 'benificial' for beneficial, 'lenguage' for language, 'exmas' for exams, and 'elegible' for eligible. While there are attempts to use topic-related terms such as 'educational systems', 'foreign country', and 'admission', the high frequency of lexical and spelling errors places this performance firmly in the lower band categories.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at more complex structures frequently contain severe errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues in 'studying one or more languages are mandatory' (should be 'is') and 'students has to pass' (should be 'students have to pass'). Punctuation and capitalization are also inconsistent, for instance missing spaces after commas and uncapitalized proper nouns like 'facebook'. Frequent grammatical errors cause difficulty for the reader and distort meaning in places.
