Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify relevant benefits, particularly learning about other cultures and preparing students to study abroad without communication barriers. These points show some understanding of the topic, but the response addresses the question only minimally: it does not clearly answer whether foreign-language study is an important part of education, and the second benefit is left unfinished (“if they studied the different language in advance they are”). The ideas are not explained or supported with a complete example. The response also falls substantially short of the required 250 words, which limits how fully you can develop the task. State your position directly, then explain and illustrate at least two benefits before concluding.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response makes an attempt to organise ideas, using “firstly” and “secondly” to signal a sequence, and it begins with an introductory statement. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the first point is compressed into a long sentence, the second point stops mid-thought, and there is no conclusion. The opening also promises that benefits will be discussed in “upcoming paragraphs,” but the response does not develop into clear paragraphs. To improve, use a simple structure: introduction with your position, one paragraph per benefit, and a brief conclusion. Connect each point to its explanation with clear links, rather than relying mainly on sequencing words.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “foreign languages,” “different cultures,” “higher studies,” and “communication barriers,” so the main subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is basic and several spelling or word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “beacuse,” “differnent,” “aboroad,” and “complusory.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “boost up our strength in studies” and “learn the study.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, you could write “support academic development,” “study abroad,” and “learn the language” to express your ideas more precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to combine ideas using clauses, as in “students who done their secondary level of studies they wanted to go…,” but the sentence structure is not controlled, and the relationship between the clauses is unclear. There are also problems with verb forms and sentence boundaries: “who done” needs a correctly formed verb, and the final clause beginning “if they studied…” is incomplete. Most sentences are long strings joined with commas or full stops in awkward places, which makes the meaning harder to follow. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use a mix of short statements and accurately formed subordinate clauses. Check each sentence for a complete ending and appropriate punctuation.
