Student answer (Band 6.0)
There are some institutes in which foreign language is being taught as a compulsary subject while in some other institutes it is not mendatory.
In my opinion, the learning of a new language can have many potential benefits including more professional opportunities in future.
Every educational system has it's own rules and regulations regarding the implementation of syllabus and curriculum. Some institutes follow international guidelines, hence they add one or more foreign languages as a compulsary subject in the syllabus. The leaning of an international language provides students with an exposure to the culture of that country. Furthermore, students might have the chance to persue their career in that country in any relavent field. Infact this exposure to a different language enhances their skills. For example, one of my friend's brother learned french during his studies and now he is working on an executive post at a multinational company. I believe, this language skill helped him establishing a career.
On the other hand, there are some institutes which do not have foreign language in their course. Therefore, their students might not have the chance of learning an international language. These educational systems might not want to burdernize their students. This might seem a good approach because in this way, students can entirely focus on their syllabus. For example, I will discuss the chinese people here, they never bother to learn a foreign language, instead they developed their skills. As a result, they have made their name in the field of technology.
In conclusion, I support the addition of foreign languages as part of syllabus, however, more preference should be given to the capabilities of students. If students are comfortable with their academic schedule and burden, then an international language can be added as part of curriculum.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the prompt: you identify benefits, especially cultural exposure and career opportunities, and state that foreign languages should be included in education when students can manage the workload. The example of your friend’s brother gives the career point some support. However, the benefits are not explored equally: cultural understanding is mentioned briefly, while the discussion focuses mainly on employment. The claim that Chinese people “never bother to learn a foreign language” is an overgeneralisation and does not clearly demonstrate the value of focusing on other skills. Develop this contrast with a more balanced, specific explanation, and make your position on the importance of language study more direct and consistent.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Therefore” introduces a consequence that largely repeats the previous point, and the shift from the Chinese example to their success in technology does not clearly explain the relationship between language study and educational priorities. The conclusion also adds a condition about students’ comfort that could be prepared more clearly in the body. Use referencing and transitions to show how each example supports the specific point being made.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “professional opportunities,” “international guidelines,” “exposure to the culture” and “academic schedule,” so the main ideas are generally clear. There are also attempts at more formal wording, but several choices or spellings are inaccurate and reduce precision: “compulsary,” “mendatory,” “persue,” “relavent” and “burdernize.” “Implementation of syllabus and curriculum” is also an awkward combination, while “made their name” is less suitable for the intended formal argument. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for cultural understanding, communication and career prospects would help you explain the benefits with greater flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including subordinate clauses such as “because in this way, students can entirely focus on their syllabus” and a conditional structure in the conclusion. Most sentences remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “Every educational system has it's own rules” uses an incorrect possessive form, and “helped him establishing a career” has an incorrect verb pattern; write “helped him establish a career.” There are also article and sentence-boundary issues, as in “I believe, this language skill…” and “I will discuss the chinese people here.” Practise possessives, verb patterns after “help,” and punctuation around introductory phrases to improve accuracy while retaining your range of structures.
