Student answer (Band 5.5)

language is the way we express our thoughts, feelings and talk. Not only studing any other form of communication help to open doors for career making oppurtunity, make life more easy while you are not around native people. In my opinion i totally agree to the people with the former view and this essay will exmine the primary benefits of this trend.

To begin with, alought learing different type of communication is difficult ,it can help to learn many type of cultures as diversity of culture will help to enhace knowledge about several type of people. For instance, India is diverst country where its main language is hindi but in every region people speak number of language and if you do not know any other way of talk than hindi it would be very difficult to understand other people. Thus only one communication method will not help.

Education is the best and easy to learn anything while your brain is still developing.Taking of interaction, it is beneficary to have diverse languistic method because it opens more doors to carrer oppurtunity internationaly. for example, i am a international student i learn english while i was in school which open doors world wide for me to conitune my study in my dream university. Thus i can get job or open my own bussiness in any part of world.

To conclude, not only one can get dream life but also enhance there knowledge about other by learning more than one way communication nationally and internationaly as well

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both the benefits of learning another language and whether it belongs in education, and your position is clear: “I totally agree” that it is important. Relevant benefits include understanding cultural diversity and improving access to international study and employment. The personal example about learning English and attending a dream university helps make the career and education point concrete. However, the cultural benefit is less fully explained, and the India example focuses on regional languages without clearly showing how foreign-language study specifically helps. The conclusion repeats the benefits rather than drawing them together. Develop each main idea with a clearer explanation of how it answers the question, and make the distinction between foreign languages and languages spoken within one country explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally group related points, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “For instance” and “To conclude” help readers follow the direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track. The opening moves quickly from communication to career opportunities, while the first body paragraph shifts from language learning to cultural diversity and then to India without fully connecting these points. Some linking phrases, including “Taking of interaction” and “Thus only one communication method will not help,” do not clearly express the relationship between ideas. Use more precise transitions and ensure each example directly supports the paragraph’s main point; clearer referencing would also make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “diversity,” “career opportunity,” “international student” and “linguistic,” and the reader can generally identify your intended ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make expression imprecise. Phrases such as “different type of communication,” “diverse linguistic method” and “dream life” are not natural ways to express the intended meanings. There are also repeated spelling errors, for example “studing,” “oppurtunity,” “exmine” and “internationaly.” These issues sometimes make the reader work to interpret your meaning. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases, check spelling carefully, and choose specific terms such as “foreign-language skills” rather than repeatedly describing language as a “way of communication.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concessive opening with “although” and a conditional example beginning “if you do not know…”. This shows some range, and the main message is usually recoverable. However, errors in sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation occur across the response. For example, “language is the way we express” needs an article or plural subject, and “which open doors” does not agree with its antecedent. The sentence beginning “Not only studying…” is also incomplete or awkwardly constructed, while several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation. Practise building complete sentences around one clear main clause, then check subject–verb agreement, tense consistency and sentence boundaries.
