Student answer (Band 5.0)

it is widely acknowledged that some have educational system have foreign study and some not have foreign study system has become an increasingly contentious issue in contemprary society .While some proponents assert justification some educational system have foreign study for children are require to study , i firmly contend my is foreign language is a requriement .This easy will critically examine the issue before reaching a balanced conclusion .

To commence with , one compelling justification my oppinion is foreign language is a requirment for study . This is largely attributed to in some educational systems children are requird to study one or more foreign language for abroad study is necssary if we want to go on study visa we need to learn foreign language after this requirment they decide to give visa other wise its not possible .As a result , it is reasonable to infer foreign language is a requirment .if student want to go abroad for stduy need to learn language of other contenries .

Anohter pivotal consisderation is the second reeason is forign languages are the potential benefits .From a broader perspective is example if we learn foriegn language we have skill of language and we able to talk another contenry person like Chiness,German and Sapanches, which clearly indersedcore the potential impact in this trend.

To recapitulate , although differing viewpoints persist the perponderance of evidence supports the view that my oppinion is forign language is beneficial for foriegn study. Therefore ,adopting approach appear both pragmetic and beneficial in the long trem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear overall view that foreign-language learning is beneficial and important, and you offer relevant points about studying abroad and communicating with people from other countries. However, the task is only partly addressed: the benefits are not explained in enough detail, and the discussion focuses mainly on visa requirements rather than the wider educational value of language study. The example about speaking with Chinese, German, and Spanish people is relevant, but it needs a clearer explanation of how this skill benefits children. The opening also refers to differing educational systems without developing that contrast. To strengthen the response, explain two distinct benefits and support each with a specific, developed example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps separate the point about studying abroad from the point about communicating internationally. You also use signposts such as “To commence with,” “Another,” and “To recapitulate.” However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the first body paragraph repeats that foreign-language study is a requirement, while the second moves abruptly from learning a language to having a skill. Some linking phrases sound formulaic, and references such as “this trend” do not clearly identify the idea being discussed. Organise each paragraph around one benefit, then connect its explanation and example directly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of formal and topic-related expressions, including “contentious issue,” “potential benefits,” “pivotal consideration,” and “perponderance of evidence.” This shows an effort to use academic vocabulary, but the range is limited by repetition of “requirement,” “foreign language,” and “beneficial,” and several choices or spellings make meaning less clear. Examples include “for abroad study,” “other contenry,” and “indersedcore.” Some formal phrases, such as “pivotal consideration,” are not used naturally in context. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “international study,” “communicate across cultures,” and “language proficiency” would help express your ideas clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt longer sentences and some complex structures, including “While some proponents assert…” and “if we learn foreign language…,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence formation, agreement, articles, and verb forms frequently make the reader work to understand the message. For example, “some have educational system have foreign study” has an unclear subject and verb pattern, while “we able to talk another contenry person” is missing necessary grammatical elements. Punctuation and capitalisation are also unreliable, with several sentences joined or separated awkwardly. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using clauses such as “because” and “which.” Check that every sentence has a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
