Student answer (Band 5.5)
Children are required to study foreign language in some institutes while some other do not practice this. Studying an international language could be beneficial to add on your skills in your resume and it could allow you to access more opportunities in those countries and also you could communicate and interact with those people more.
According to my believe studying a language other than your own local or national language is quite more beneficial and it should be taught at schools levels. I think students should have the chance to choose the language of their interest. It can give them confidence and they can also enjoy learning a new skills.
If a student got to know multiple languages it could help him in future and automatically improve his exposure towards international bodies. For example a student can become a translator in a region where he knows and understand communication between both the parties from a national and international one. So it could have a lot more to do with such jobs and opportunities and should be practice more in schools.
In my school time i got to know French from my tutor and it help me during my studies in European countries. Beside that it give me confidence to talk to local people and to adjust with that community much easily.
Ending up teaching a international language which is practiced more in many countries should be taught to students. It would give them more exposure skills and confidence in their future life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both the benefits of learning another language and whether it belongs in education, and your position is clear: you believe it should be taught at school. Relevant benefits include improved job prospects, communication with people abroad, and greater confidence. Your personal example about learning French and using it while studying in European countries also supports your view. However, several points remain general or are not fully explained. For instance, the translator example is introduced but its connection to broader educational benefits is not developed, and the claim about “international bodies” is unclear. To strengthen the response, explain how each benefit affects students and support the recommendation with more specific reasoning or examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: it introduces the topic, gives reasons for teaching languages, provides a personal example, and ends with a recommendation. This helps the reader follow the main argument. However, progression between ideas is sometimes loose, and several points are repeated, particularly the claims about opportunities, exposure, and confidence. Linking phrases such as “According to my believe,” “For example,” and “Beside that” are used, but some do not connect the ideas smoothly or accurately. The final paragraph largely repeats the position rather than drawing the reasons together. Group related benefits into clearer paragraphs and use references and transitions that show how each example supports the central argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “foreign language,” “translator,” “opportunities,” and “confidence.” The personal example also gives you a chance to use relevant language about studying and communicating abroad. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations sound unnatural, such as “add on your skills in your resume,” “improve his exposure towards international bodies,” and “practice more in schools.” Repetition of “confidence,” “opportunities,” and “exposure” also limits precision. Aim to learn common collocations and choose words that express the intended meaning directly; for example, explain whether you mean career prospects, cultural awareness, or international communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “If a student got to know multiple languages it could help him in future.” The main message is generally understandable, but errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. Examples include “some other do not practice this,” “it help me,” “a international language,” and “students should have the chance to choose the language of their interest.” Some long sentences join several ideas with “and” without clear control, making relationships harder to follow. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and tense consistency, and divide sentences when they contain several separate claims. More accurate control of these patterns would make your argument easier to read.
