Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is irrefutable to say that Education is the key to success. Some educational systems have made a foreign language a requirement for children to learn while others have no such requirement. According to me, learning a foreign language could result beneficial for children in future but it completely depends on children carrier choice. I will putforth some points in upcoming paragraphs to support my opinion.
Firstly, if a child learn any foreign language it will definietly boost his intellectual level. Secondly, a child knowing the foreign language have better communication skills rather than a student who don't know.Thirdly, it will open foreign doors for children through academics or work visas. fourthly, learning a foreign language will open up more carrier choices for student. for eg: some jobs require bilinguial candidates in specific field in abroad, so speaking and knowing two different languages will make them eligible candidate for it. Nevertheless, it will also make student earn more than an average candidate who just know basic languages.
On the contrary, learning one or more foreign language at school may not act beneficial for students too and can put only extra academic burden on them. To illustrate: a student learned spanish at school but is living in their own country or some other country where spanish is not their either first or second language will result non- beneficial to them. As a consequence, it just wasted their time, skill and money. Furthermore, foreign language is not an important part of education but it have have useful benefits to students who utilize that language skills effieciently and pursue their carrier in acquired skills.
to recapitulate, having foreign language requirement in education system can act important to ones who take benefit from it while non important to others who just learns in school but took no advantage from it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the prompt: you identify benefits such as improved communication, intellectual development and wider employment opportunities, and you give a view on whether language study belongs in education. Your position is that it can be useful but is not essential for everyone, which is relevant. However, the benefits are mostly listed rather than explained; for example, the claim that language learning boosts intellectual ability is not supported with a reason or example. The Spanish example helps illustrate your concern about usefulness, but it is hypothetical and its relevance is not fully clarified. Develop fewer points in more depth, and make your final position more decisive about whether foreign-language study should be an important part of education.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. The reader can follow the broad progression, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “On the contrary,” and “to recapitulate” make the stages visible. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger organisation. However, the numbered transitions (“Secondly,” “Thirdly,” “fourthly”) make the benefits paragraph feel like a list, while the relationship between the ideas is not always developed. The conclusion largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing the argument together. Use fewer mechanical connectors and link each point through explanation or an example; also clarify references such as “that language” and “acquired skills.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “intellectual level,” “communication skills,” “academic burden,” and “bilingual candidates.” These choices show an effort to discuss education and employment, but control is uneven and several errors make the wording awkward or less precise. Examples include “result beneficial,” “foreign doors,” “carrier choice,” and “non-beneficial”; spelling errors such as “definietly,” “bilinguial,” and “effieciently” also stand out. Some expressions are repeated, particularly “foreign language” and “student.” Build a more reliable range of collocations and check spelling and word forms. Prefer precise phrases such as “career prospects” and “employment opportunities” over literal or unclear combinations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and some longer structures, including conditional and contrastive forms: “if a child learn any foreign language…” and “On the contrary, learning one or more foreign language at school…” This gives the response some structural variety. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction occur across the essay and sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “a child learn” should be “a child learns,” “a student who don't know” should be “a student who doesn’t know,” and “it have have useful benefits” contains an incorrect verb form and repetition. The Spanish example also becomes difficult to follow because its clause structure is incomplete. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and building one clear main clause before adding supporting details.
