Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some places are already implementing that students or children are required to study one or more foreign languages, specially those countries that are not known to english speaking. Example is like here in the Philippines, foreign language subject is already implemented and many of students are benefiting from it. Not only they learn about a new language but also they can use it to interact with foreign people. There are a lot of benefits of studying foreign language, I won't list it all down but here are three of the benefits, first you'll be able to talk and understand other language, second you can use it as an advantage when applying international, and third it can boost your confidence because you'll be able to exchange ideas or opinion with other culture.
I think foreign language is an important part of education because it has a lot of benefits that a student can have. It's not just a subject or part of education but it also helps and builds a student for their future. It makes a student ready to enter the real working world. It also helps many student to be equipped so no matter what or where they will be assigned, they will have no problem at all.
As a conclusion, foreign language is really an important part of education and it plays a big role in our industry right now. As there are a lot of opportunities internationally that may interest us, there are also a lot of foreigner in other countires so it won't be hard enough to communicate with them and help them. It will be easier to bridge the gaps worldwide. It connects people and making life living easier.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you describe benefits such as communicating with people from other cultures, gaining an advantage when applying for international work, and building confidence, then clearly state that language study is important. The Philippines example also makes the response relevant. However, the benefits are mostly listed rather than explained, and the claim that language study prepares students for the working world is not supported with a specific example. The discussion of why it matters to education could be developed further, for instance by explaining how language learning supports future study or particular careers. The conclusion repeats the position but adds little development. The 10 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an opening paragraph introduces benefits, a second gives your view, and a final paragraph restates the conclusion. The sequence of benefits is easy to follow, and phrases such as “Not only” and “As a conclusion” help signal relationships between ideas. However, the first paragraph is crowded with several points, while the second and third repeat the general claim that language study is important without clearly advancing the argument. Some links are mechanical, particularly the numbered “first… second… third” list. Improve progression by giving each paragraph a distinct purpose and using clearer references to connect explanations to the benefits already introduced.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “interact,” “exchange ideas,” “opportunities internationally,” and “bridge the gaps worldwide.” These phrases show an attempt to discuss communication and future prospects. However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice or collocation errors make parts sound unnatural, such as “applying international,” “other culture,” and “making life living easier.” “Foreign language” is also repeated frequently, and “a lot of benefits” is a general phrase used where more precise wording would help. Build a wider set of accurate expressions for employment, cultural exchange, and communication, and check that each phrase fits its intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate your position using mostly straightforward sentence patterns, and you attempt some longer structures, including “because it has a lot of benefits” and “so no matter what or where they will be assigned.” However, the range is limited, and errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur often enough to affect fluency. For example, “many of students” needs an article, “many student” needs a plural noun, and “foreign language subject is already implemented” has an unclear grammatical construction. The final sentence, “It connects people and making life living easier,” does not maintain a consistent verb structure. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and building longer sentences around one clear main clause.
