Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both parts of the prompt: you identify benefits, including confidence and knowledge, and state that language learning is important. The examples about communicating while travelling, reading historical books and improving job prospects are relevant. However, these points are brief and often asserted rather than explained; for instance, the link between reading historical books and gaining knowledge could be made more specific. Your position is present, but the opening and conclusion repeat general claims instead of developing a clear, supported argument. The response also falls short of the required minimum length, which limits the space available to explain your ideas. Develop each benefit with a fuller example and explain why it makes language study valuable in education.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firsty,” “Second advantage” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of your answer. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined mechanically with “and,” “then” or “so.” The paragraph beginning “In education system” shifts from early learning ability to employment and international business without clearly showing how each point connects. Some references are also vague, such as “this reason” and “that time.” Use clearer topic sentences, organise related points together, and make links between claims explicit rather than relying on repeated connectors.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a small range of relevant vocabulary, including “confidence,” “culture,” “historical books,” “job opportunities” and “import and export business.” These choices make your main ideas understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “study native languages” when discussing foreign-language learning, “multi-language person,” and “caching power.” Spelling errors, including “paraghaphs,” “easly” and “compition,” are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Build a more precise vocabulary for education, communication and employment, and check spelling and collocations. For example, “multilingual candidate” is more natural than “multi-language person.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “when student visit other country they can speak and understand their language.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in subject–verb agreement and verb forms occur throughout: “it increase,” “native language play,” and “students has.” Articles and plurals are also frequently missing or incorrect, as in “when student visit other country.” Sentence boundaries and capitalisation need attention, particularly where a new sentence begins with lowercase “it,” “to” or “if.” These recurring errors can make parts of the response difficult to follow. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles and punctuation.
