Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of relying on convenience food. The ideas are relevant, such as time-saving and variety for advantages, and health risks and financial costs for disadvantages. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding financial costs is a bit simplistic, as it focuses primarily on taxes rather than the broader economic impact of convenience food. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations or specific examples to fully flesh out your arguments. The position is clear throughout, and the conclusion effectively summarizes the main points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as in the sentence 'it is all about wasting money on those items which can be made at home as well at low price', where the connection to the previous clause could be smoother. Overall, the progression of ideas is coherent.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'hectic schedules', 'cravings', and 'convenience food'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'make food' (better: 'prepare meals'), 'lose its freshness' (better: 'loses its nutritional value'), and 'in the mode of taxes' (better: 'due to taxes'). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the precision of your writing. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary and focusing on natural collocations would improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the' modern world, 'the' same time), subject-verb agreement ('most of people depends'), and pluralization ('some people do not want to eat same food'). Additionally, there are punctuation and phrasing issues, such as 'it is often happens' and 'To examplify'. These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your points. Increasing the accuracy of your complex sentences will help you move to a higher band.
