Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of relying on convenience food. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention time-saving as an advantage and health/cost as a disadvantage, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. For instance, you mention 'cuisine of different countries' but do not explain how this impacts the consumer's lifestyle. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with a clear explanation or a more detailed example. The position is clear, but the overall development remains at a basic level, which is characteristic of a Band 6.0 performance.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On one hand', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the logical progression is slightly disjointed, such as the transition between the benefits of restaurants and the mention of frozen food. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as 'those who loved to try' which lacks a clear antecedent. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on common phrases like 'a lot of' or 'good/bad' concepts, and there are some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'an plenty of time' (should be 'plenty of time') and 'Most of the people are largely depends on' (should be 'depend on'). While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'cuisine' and 'convenience', the overall range is limited. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder the flow. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('people are preferred', 'Individual has'), article usage ('a fresh and value of money'), and tense consistency. While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Reducing these frequent slips will significantly improve the clarity and professional tone of your writing.
