Student answer (Band 6.0)
Unquestionably, as every coin has two sides people are now debating over consuming frozen and pacakaged food is more benefical rather than having home-cooked meals. Majority of folks are in the favour of former statement due to its number of merits. However some of the people highlights its demerits first. I firmly believe that the eating home-cooked meals significantly outweigh the advantages of eating forzen food. In this essay, I will discuss my views on both arguments and list down relevant examples to draw the conclusion.
Firstly, starting with main benefit of eating frozen and packaged food is saving more time and energy. In this modern world, where people are working more than usual, frozen and packaged food are young professionals comfort food. Secondly, they can allocate saved time to focus on more meaningful work such as part-time job or do physical activities as a swimming, a running, a biking and much more. At present, international students are staying far away from their homes and majority of them are struggling to cook and frozen food satisfy fundamental requirements. Last but not the least, the price of frozen food is economical compare to fresh food.
On the other side, the focal point of eating a home-cooked food are nutrients. Furthermore, there are no preservatives and help person to grow physically and mentally quicker than consuming frozed food. Also, fresh food can be cooked according to the requirement compare to frozen food which is packaged with fixed quantity. Studies have shown that people having fresh food in lunch and dinner, are able to focus more on work and have minimum tendancy to fatigue.
To conclude the above statement, neither its pros can be neglected nor its cons. It is a mixed bag of positives and negatives. Person should select it based on their life-style and requirements.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of the topic. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention time-saving as an advantage, the explanation remains quite general. The conclusion is also slightly contradictory; you state in the introduction that you believe home-cooked meals outweigh the benefits of frozen food, yet the conclusion suggests that the choice is simply a matter of lifestyle, which weakens your overall position. To reach a higher band, ensure your main arguments are supported by more specific examples or deeper analysis rather than just listing points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'On the other side' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final paragraph where 'neither its pros' lacks a clear antecedent. The flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed theme.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'preservatives', 'economical', and 'fundamental requirements'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'pacakaged' (spelling), 'in the favour of former statement', and 'minimum tendancy to fatigue'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that your word choices are natural and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('a swimming', 'a running', 'a biking') and subject-verb agreement ('some of the people highlights'). Additionally, there are minor punctuation and spelling issues throughout the text. While these errors rarely impede the overall meaning, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining your use of articles would significantly enhance your writing.
