Student answer (Band 6.5)
In the contemporary era, increasing number of individuals are highly depend on restaurants and processed food for their daily meal, instead cooking at homes. There are several reason why majority of population enable this options. This trend has several merits and demerits to highlight and write plausible conclusion at the end.
On the one hand, a few individuals largely depend on the outside or packed food because this saves numerous time in chopping vegetables, cooking and cleaning dishes, and they believe that these moments could be spend with their children education, looking after the elders to build strong family bonding. Moreover, this arrangement might also help to concentrate on their career, complete the pending office work and engage in some interesting hobbies, this can help them to learn essentials skills and increase the productivity.
On the other hand, other who believe stating that outside food might cause various serious health concerns due to higher sugar level, more fat food (especially the fast), unhygienic place used for cooking. Consequently, this endeavour could root to vulnerable health problems like heart problems, indigestion, food poison and skin allergies due to the oil differences and sometimes restaurants use expiry products. Furthermore, buying outside food might impose more financial burden on family to maintain it in the long run. Hence, it is highly advisable to reduce the outside food, apart from consuming occasionally; rather people should make habit to cook at home for them and their family well-being.
To conclude, even though, restaurants and packed food provide convenience and saves colossal time spending in the kitchen, yet I personally believe that home food is always regarded healthy and also saves huge money spending on outside food.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of relying on convenience food. The ideas are relevant and clearly presented, such as time-saving benefits versus health and financial concerns. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the advantages are explained, the disadvantages section is slightly rushed, and the conclusion is a bit repetitive. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with more specific examples or deeper analysis. The position is clear throughout the essay, and the prompt requirements are fully met.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'Moreover', and 'Consequently', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and sentence flow, such as the awkward phrasing in the introduction ('enable this options'). Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate, and the logical flow is sufficient to follow the argument without difficulty.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are attempts to use less common items like 'contemporary era', 'plausible', and 'colossal'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'enable this options' instead of 'choose these options', 'root to vulnerable health problems' instead of 'lead to health problems', and 'expiry products' instead of 'expired products'. These errors do not impede communication but indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('increasing number of individuals are highly depend') and article usage. Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward phrasings that affect the flow, such as 'other who believe stating that'. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the text. To improve, the student should focus on basic grammatical accuracy and refining sentence structure to reduce the frequency of errors.
