Student answer (Band 5.0)
Now a days many people like to eat at a resturant or prefer convenience food ( fozen food and package meals ) rather than home-food for there meals. Its convinent but more expensive compare to eating at home.
There are some advantages on relying on resturants and convenience food for most of their meals. Its saves time and effort to do the groceries and then cooking of the meal and washing dishes. Therefore they can spend that time on work or on leisure activies. Many people also like eating in the resturant because they get a different time of options to choose from for example chines food, indian food, fast food , continental and others. And they feel relaxed and spend quality time while eating in the resturants with family or friends.
On the contrary, this practice has some disadvantages like eating in a resturant or relying on a convenience food is expensive than eating at home. And its not good for health as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 164 words. Consequently, the ideas are significantly underdeveloped. While the prompt asks for both advantages and disadvantages, the discussion is superficial. For example, the disadvantages section is limited to two brief sentences regarding cost and health, lacking any supporting evidence or examples. To improve, you must expand on each point with specific explanations and relevant personal examples to ensure the response is fully developed and meets the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is limited by the brevity of the text. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Therefore' and 'On the contrary', but they are somewhat basic. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the use of 'they' in the second paragraph without a clear antecedent for the specific group of people being discussed. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by well-connected supporting details.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'resturant' (repeatedly), 'fozen', 'package' (instead of packaged), and 'activies'. The word choice is quite simple, relying on basic terms like 'good' and 'different'. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure correct spelling. For instance, instead of 'good for health', consider using 'detrimental to one's well-being' or 'nutritionally deficient'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'Now a days' (should be 'Nowadays'), 'there meals' (should be 'their'), 'Its convinent' (should be 'It is convenient'), and 'more expensive compare to' (should be 'compared to'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces before commas and parentheses. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct pronoun usage, and standard punctuation rules. Proofreading your work for these basic errors is essential to improve your score.
