Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of the trend. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. While you mention convenience and cost as advantages, the explanation remains superficial. Similarly, the disadvantages regarding health are mentioned, but the argument lacks depth and specific evidence. The conclusion states a preference, but it is not fully supported by the preceding arguments. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is expanded with more detailed reasoning or illustrative examples rather than just listing them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Apart from it', and 'On the other hand'. However, some of these transitions are used mechanically or incorrectly, such as 'Due to which' at the start of a sentence, which creates a fragmented flow. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, and the logical progression between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help the ideas connect more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'prepare food' instead of 'preparing food', 'not superior for health' instead of 'not beneficial for health', and 'preserve from long time' instead of 'preserved for a long time'. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations. To improve, focus on learning word families and common collocations related to health and lifestyle topics, and try to avoid repeating the same words throughout the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('fast food and packaged meals has become'), incorrect verb forms ('what they should made'), and awkward sentence construction ('Many people lost their life if they use everyday frozen food'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and proofreading for subject-verb agreement.
