Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both advantages and disadvantages, but the development is inconsistent. While you mention time-saving benefits and health risks, the ideas are often presented as a list rather than being fully explored. For instance, the point about 'YouTube channels' is tangential and lacks a clear connection to the prompt's focus on convenience food. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments lack depth and specific examples. To improve, ensure each point is explained with a logical consequence or a more detailed illustration rather than just stating the idea.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Thirdly'. Some transitions are awkward, such as 'in which we will share some bad impact', which does not effectively link the ideas. The progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes disjointed, making the flow feel slightly unnatural. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'bad impact', 'good', and 'big'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'rais the business' (raise/boost) and 'life spam' (lifespan). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of more sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of errors in word formation limit the score. Try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations related to nutrition and lifestyle to demonstrate a wider range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'the issue of developing restaurant and frozen food rapidly growing in the society' (missing verb/awkward structure) and 'people not like a healthy food' (missing auxiliary verb). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences lacking proper structure. While the meaning is usually understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar—such as subject-verb agreement and article usage—prevents a higher score. Focus on proofreading for basic sentence construction.
