Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, Increasing number of people depends on Junkfood and frozen food instead of home made food . There are both positive and negative effects of this trend, which I am going to discuss in following paragraphs.
On the one hand, there are some merits of eating outside food. Firstly, majority of husband and wife are working round the clock these-days, due to that they do not have enough time to make food at home. Apart from that, convenience food is not only cheaper but also easily available and it saves time as well. These are the main reason why people choose outside food over home cooked food. However, this trend has demerits also such as increase the risk of diseases like obesity. frozen food contains high amount of fat and less amount of nutrition which affects on human body. For example, in recent survey it was proved that 20% of people are suffering from obesity and cholesterol diseases because of unhealthy eating habits.
On the other hand, there is some advantages of eating home cooked food. First and foremost, home cooked food has more nutritional values and it is freshly made which does not affect human health. Nevertheless, it has negative effect that home cooked food is time consuming and if both the couples are working , it is difficult to manage time.
To conclude, Inspite of having positive sides of eating food outside, it increases the risk of diseases such as obesity . In may opinion this trend has strong positive effects of eating home cooked food.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both advantages and disadvantages of relying on convenience food. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention time constraints and health risks, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. For instance, the claim that '20% of people are suffering from obesity' is a vague statistic that lacks context. To improve, ensure that each point is fully extended with clear explanations and logical consequences. Your position is generally clear, but the conclusion is slightly confusing, as it mentions the positive effects of home-cooked food rather than summarizing the overall balance of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'Firstly', and 'To conclude'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions feel repetitive. For example, the transition between the health risks of frozen food and the benefits of home-cooked food could be smoother. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the summary of your position is slightly muddled. Improving the variety of linking words would enhance the overall cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'nutritional values', 'convenience food', and 'cholesterol diseases'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'outside food' (better: 'processed food' or 'dining out') and 'affects on human body' (the verb 'affect' does not take a preposition). Some phrasing is also slightly unnatural, such as 'husband and wife are working'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that collocations are accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Common issues include missing articles ('in recent survey'), subject-verb agreement ('Increasing number of people depends'), and incorrect pluralization ('there is some advantages'). Furthermore, punctuation errors, such as the spacing before periods and the capitalization of 'Inspite', detract from the professionalism of the writing. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to limit the score.
